Rayman Redemption

That's pretty nice! For those wondering what it is without needing to use an external link, it's this boxart.

Yeah same, and I'm looking forward to this! It's releasing at 12PM (UTC), so just over 20 hours to go! :D

EDIT: For some reason I got the time an hour wrong. :oops2:

I should take some time to play his demo today, before I try the game tomorrow :D

Edit: Damn, this boxart! AMAZING!

I just realized I will still be working when the game releases, I converted the time wrong to local, miscalculated by 1 hour... Doesn't really matter though, that last 30 minutes will be over super quickly if I know the game will be waiting for me to download as soon as I get out!

I thought this day would never come, but it did. I finally have a new favourite Rayman game. Redemption is so unbelievably good! I feel like a child again, discovering the first Rayman as if I never played it before! It’s wonderful!

I am downloading this fan-made game as early as I can so I can potentially stream it later on and not have any issues possible.

Thank you Ryemanni, for everything.

I'm in the early stages of the game.

From my point of view, it's smoother, more friendly and more pleasant than the original, and the new features seem fitting to the Rayman core.

I would like to write more when I finish the playthrough, thank you Ryemanni for creating this.

The game seems to run for me on Arch, but Gentoo is refusing to run with some Vulkan error, while other games work with DXVK, including Rayman 3 and Rayman Origins. I want to figure out why it won't work on Gentoo before I play it. :P

I didn't take any chances, and started it in the same WinePrefix I use for the Rayman Control Panel. :P

I've just completed the Music world, and I have to agree with Nve, the motion feels a lot more fluid, and I definitely do not miss the damage knockback! I do miss the ability to skip boss levels while backtracking (or maybe I just haven't figured out how to do it :oops2:). I'm missing a lot of cages so far, and I'm not entirely sure why. :mefiant:

I didn't even do anything to my prefix, it just randomly stopped working and I can't narrow it down. :P

EDIT: I found out what was wrong. For some reason there was a lot of overrides under default settings (using a new prefix still didn't work somehow), removing all of those simply fixed it. :fou2:

Now I can finally play the game!

I think it definitely does feel more fluid, and thank God there's no knockback, especially with those unexpected events. :P

As for the cages, same here! :mefiant:

I finally started getting playing the game sometime last night, I’m really enjoying it so far. And I think it’s bc I played Rayman 1 that I am finding the game relatively easy for me so far since there hasnt been any area so far that has caused me difficulty up to Mr. Stone’s Peaks (which is where I currently am)
