Very interesting. From what I heard, the real reason why the GBA version's colours aren't so good was because they had to repaint everything or something because the animations came up too dark...that's what I read in a magazine anyways. o.0
 
I think Drol's has a better range of colors, but either one needs to be on the wiki.
 
Well, drol's one is definitely better quality...and it's still incomplete! :P It's gonna rock...
 
It's only low-res now...but when he is able to properly rip it, in all its detailed hi-res glory...*quivers with excitement*

Of course it has, mine was just extracted from the GBA version ;)
 
I really like the present. I wonder what droolie needs to extract the map and backgrounds in their in-game resolution? Right now, he can only extract them in...decreased resolution!...which is not good enough. :pfff:
 
Uh, spiraldoor, sorry to disappoint you, but I *think* it IS in-game resolution. I think it's just stretched and blurred a little in the game.
 
No, I was playing R1 PS1 just a couple of hours ago, and I saved your R1 PS1 map to my media centre and looked at it full-screen. It is DEFINITELY lower resolution than it is in-game, I'm 100% sure. :sad:

Just resize it at 200% with the nearest neighbour algorithm and you'll get the game-resolution with no quality loss. Thus, Droolie's right.

And can i ask something ? How do i rip map's from game boy advance games, i have visual boy advance but i don't know how to do it. I would like to know it tough.
