I'm kind of in agreement with Stacey as Rayman didn't really look one year old in R1 :P Ubisoft do sometimes use confusing metaphors.

Regarding what you've said about Rayman, I agree with Xenon, as it certainly means that Rayman was created in 1994 by Michel Ancel. Solid Snake is quite old in MGS4, but I doubt the series was created decades ago to be honest ;)

but at me in Poland a spent package stayed "Rayman 10-te(dziesiąte) urodziny"[in english: Rayman 10th birthday) and was R3,R2,RM....
I think....maybe...but...I don't really know ;)
