The Portal thread

BUMP.

What do you guys think of personnifying characters? As in turning GLaDOS for example into a human?

I myself am not fond of it, some of them capture the original characters pretty well but they'll never be like their robot selfs.

And? :? That has nothing to do with the concept of turning the actual characters into humans.

I only got Portal 2 on ps3 and i finished it before this thread was made.
 
I've finished right now the Story Mode of Portal 2.

Very nice game, definitely way better than the first one :P.
 
Hmm, I think I still like Portal 1 just as much as Portal 2.
Portal 1 was good for the new concept, GLaDOS, the atmosphere and the fiery pit.
Portal 2 was good for the great story, Cave Johnson, more Portal, and last but not least - SPACE!!!
Both games have a very special place in my heart. So did the companion cube but it threatened to stab me. :(
 
Eheh, had some fun this night with Puruun, she challenged me : we had to complete custom maps as fast as we could.

I played some Co-op with her and I kept killing her... By accident... But it was funny

I quite support that actually, though even if I do end up thinking along that line, she's always more of a very refined cyborg. I've actually been nurturing a story idea for a while now that would have done just that at the end. Then again, it's not like there aren't any precedents to that, in fact, the other character I wanted to use was a certain other malevolent AI. This one's worse than GlaDOS though. You could argue a lot of things about GlaDOS, but this one stands firmly on the 'evil' scale.

Anyone else seen the ending to the DLC?

Damn it was way too hilarious and somewhat adorable at the same time.
 
I've only accessed the ending of Story Mode, Co-Op Mode and the extra Co-Op Mode ending. I wonder if you are talking about this last one, because it was hilarious and cute at the same time.

[I was so convinced that GLaDOS was talking about Chell, when she wanted to nominate P-Body and Atlas as "killing machines"! X'D]

Yeah it's that one xD

[I was too, but the birds in the end made so much sense considering the single player. I still can't get over the fact GLaDOS referred to herself as "mummy", damn that was just too adorable.]
