Yer first game

I've said this before but it was Super Mario World. My parents just left me to it.

My father discouraged me from playing Half-Life in front of my mother, because of all the guns and gore :P

Yeah, same for me, my dad used to play Mortal Kombat and still plays CS:Source to this day, and my mom, though not a gamer, just doesn't care.
She did tell me that she played a Xena game once and was obsessed with it. She could have been a gamer in an alternate reality! :fou2:
Also, in post-soviet countries, i feel like people are just generally chill when kids play violent games and stuff.

Haha, i think my mom would love Stardew! She would definitely marry Alex
Well, she's already IN Stardew Valley, she lives in a calm little village, tends to her garden and has a husband into sports :fou:

I remember I had borth Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank with my brand new PS3. That happened in 2008. My father didn't allow me to play Uncharted, and I remember I was super scared once because I installed it and decided to give it a try when my parents weren't home

My parents were more concerned with my play time rather than the content. They did not like games at all.

This.

But then again, in the mid 90s there wasn't a lot of options to shock, and not a lot of internet to discover any

I remember Kirby's Adventure being the first game I played on my own that wasn't just someone else's game that they got bored with and put the controller in my hands. The NES Megamans (I think we had all six but I only liked 1, 2, and 3) were what I played right after Kirby. Played a ton of Mario back then too. Mario 3 was my favorite from what I remember.

It is very difficult to remember. I think my dad installed some games in one of the first computers we had, including a space shooter and other games.

I also used to go the the old Cartoon Network site and play games there.
