Shroob: Thanks for the suggestions, sadly there isn't something like that, I wish there was! Although I've been pretty much told they want to give me something special and for keeps, so that makes it even more awkward! Sweet, but awkward! haha

Sugar: That doesn't seem to be an option haha but it would be a good idea!

I was like that round Christmas too. I thought "No, I'm pretty much content with all I have right now." which made me feel really good in not needing anything at all. But then after Christmas I suddenly got all these ideas of stuff I could've used. x)

Still, I got some lovely, lovely presents like new pans that have come in handy quite well that I'd never even imagined to ask for. P'raps your roles will surprise you the same way.

Ah, the computer in a mouse idea? I remember discussing that with some fellow students, it's an interesting idea, but I don't really see the pressing need for it.

Something like that could be useful in developing countries though. Well, similar things already exist I guess, but with the massive growth in those economies it could really catch on, particularly in schools and universities... Even here, if it was cheap enough I'd definitely grab one for certain jobs. But somehow I suspect it'll be rather expensive

Hmm, but that's more of a build-your-own baby. Unless I'm misreading the purpose of the mousebox entirely... I gathered it had more in common with Live CDs/DVDs/USBs/Storage Acronyms. Imma look again, I think I did misconstrue it.

Hmm, doesn't really look worth it to be honest. You need a screen and a keyboard, and you'd need them both to be rechargeable meaning you'd need to charge them all separately. Carrying all of that stuff around would be a hassle.
A cheap laptop would fix all of these problems.

Another thing is that if you lost it, people would just think it was a mouse and possibly just chuck it in the lost and found or forget about it. A laptop would seem to be much harder to lose and anyone could open it up and possibly see who it belongs to (at least their name, if it's locked).

The only thing I could see this being useful for would be to sneakily play games or whatever when your boss isn't looking, but that's just trivial, and you could just connect your laptop to a monitor and hide it under some books and it would work the same way.

If it works anything like I envisage then it would be useful in places where monitors and large hardware have to be shared by many, like rural schools. Again, that role is already being filled adequately by Live USBs (and when pads which actually have screens(!) get proper cheap those will make waves), but what's another sexy addition to the list?

Have you contacted an admin with your request? Humch is a busy beardless fella, if he's being a bit slow maybe go to the lovely Stace instead.
