Fascinating! :shock: I can't believe we're still finding out more about Rayman 3 to this very day.

yeah that game has been heavily modified during developpement XD
 
It's always nice to discover new stuff on Rayman3, I wonder if maybe one day we are going to discover more about the Great Spirit Palmito.

Where the heck do you guys find these lore pieces? I assume that they are originating from ancient official sites or perhaps certain manual versions just like how the lore of Sonic 1 and 2 is explained only in the Japanese manual, so in the case of Rayman I'd assume that you got this from the original French game manuals or something?
 
The Great Spirit Palmito was part of promo material on Rayman 3, that stuff could be found on the now years dead Rayman 3 website.
 
One thing is sure, Great Spirit Palmito doesn't appear in the US version of the website, there's only a tiny section that talks about the griskins

Is here anyone who unpacked cinematic sounds from PSX version?

I'm quite sure it's been found before but I don't think anyone knows really what it is
 
Thanks. I thought so :) But cinematics music should be somewhere in combin.dat, but Psund show there only low quality sfxes.

Maybe it was supposed to be shown as additional bonus content along with that bonus R2 Prototype. The rendering style does look an awful lot like that old Rayman 2 commercial's art style.
 
Ah yes, this has already been found looong time ago, i wanted to ask the rayman 3 developer if he knew something about it since he also worked on rayman 2 but i completely forgot about it.

Oh yes, the 15fps video file, it was already found by droolie yep, also I should ask the raymon 3/2 dev yep, but he isn't online atm, so I'll try asap :)

I already asked him long time ago, he said it reminds him something, but he can't know what :oops2:
 
So yeah, by the way, I managed to get in touch last time with a Rayman 4 proto (the rabbid one) platformer dev, he told me he doesn't remembers that much, he only remembers that the story was turned around the dreams (that's why there are files mentioning Rayman death), that the project got cancelled very quickly, they haven't even finished the worlds, and they changed it because they preferred doing party games more than platformers.
Also, I was checking through RRR texts, and it seems there are 4 scrapped minigames, dunno if still they're accessibles, one is named (translated from french):
-Rabbids doesn't like going back to the future
-Rabbids doesn't like playing basket ball
-Rabbids doesn't like playing rock-paper-scissors
-Rabbids shoot everywhere

the first 3 are from 360 version and last one are in Wii and 360 version, I gotta check the PS2 version :mryellow:

Now that I think about it, I remember seeing a screenshot of a scrapped minigame where rayman was riding a flying veichle that the rabbids used in some proto screenshots, do we know what was the name of that minigame?

Interesting, I don't think wek now it, I'm gonna check more the texts tomorrow :P
Oh also, texts mention a scrapped costume named "burnt rayman" :mrgreen:
