In the next time I'll also try to find a good strategy for PC without using any of the extreme combos. Then, when there'll be more time, I might also try to improve my score by following the strategy.
Btw., out of curiosity I calculated the points for a potential combo for the IPG version. Roughly the combo would go like this:
You start equipped with the throttle copter on the ground. Take there as many items as possible and also get the green gem for 9000 combo points. Then kill the hoodlums and use the combo time to fly upwards and reach the gems on the spiral stairs or the other nearby gems in time. Take the gems and perform a SJ (which we'd have to find yet) to be able to get the 12 gems at the top before the combo time runs out. Afterwards kill the hoodstormers (at least 6 of them), convert the lums (except the last one) and continue with the elite monger in the next room. Finish the combo with the lum and as many yellow gems as possible.
Actually the only problem I see is the SJ. The rest should be just a matter of optimization.
I calculated that the combo would be worth about 29000 combo points, so it should be a massive improvement.
Edit: A small update: I thought a bit about part 1 of TOTL and maybe found an improvement - at least for the PC-version. However we'd have to make following connection possible at first:
Take the last gem at the end of the hallway which is leading to the pillar-room. Then jump on the nearby pillar, jump again to get the lockjaw (don't take the gem there though) and then, in the same jump, helicopter towards the gem on the next pillar and take it.
The problem here is less the time, but more that it's very hard (or impossible?) to get the lockjaw and the next gem in one jump. I tried it shortly, but I could only make Raymans' hair touch the gem, which unfortunately doesn't count as taking it. If we can do it nevertheless, then the following should be possible as well:
Get the lockjaw and quickly proceed toward the secret room. Collect the gems there, break the piggybank and kill one of the hoodblasters (I guess you have to weaken him before). Now head for the pillar room. On your way kill another hoodlum, convert the lums and take the 3rd, 5th and 7th gem in the hallway. Then succeed in the above described connection. Take (if possible) all gems in the room, renew the lockjaw and return to the previous room, while collecting the remaining gems in the hallway. Clean up the entire room and finish the combo with the two gems behind the fabric and the nearby piggybank + its gem.
If you are fast enough, on PC you could get the four aforementioned items in the middle of the combo, then quickly climb up and continue with the gems on the stairs etc.. That way you can end the combo with the wooden door.
The (single) hoodstormer combo then would go like this: Break the upper cage with the 12 gems. Take the 12 and the following gems. Slide down and get the first gem on the wooden platform. Fall down and exit the room. Take the first gem, pass the second one and jump to the third gem which is on the grid. Take the other one on the grid as well and quickly run toward the hoodstormer. On your way get the gem which you've passed before. Kill the hoodstormer, convert the lum and get the remaining gem on the wooden platform above.
If everything works out, we'll be able to get up to 580 points more (on PC). On console it probably wouldn't make such a big difference, but there the points probably are not too necessary anyway.
