Nah, Bulletproof is a PS2 game but I had been playing other PS2 games with the PS1 controller until that game decided to complain that it needed a Dualshock 2.
Yeah some games are incompatible with PS1 controllers and need a DS2 due to its analog buttons.

I was playing around and noticed there's a secret passage next to the chute which leads to an invisible path, if I'm not mistaken this is probably what you hit your head on:

Also I was playing around with the ram in a hex editor and managed to find an alternate sprite of Rayman, seemingly half naked:

And a slightly glitchier view with a larger portion of the sprite sheet visible:

I'm here to share a one hour long interview with Rémi Gazel, french composer of Rayman 1. There's only one problem and it's a big one: it's not subtitled in english yet, but we hope we'll can do it one day.

But, if any of you speak French, you may enjoy it because Rémi is really passionate when he speaks about Rayman.
So here's the link if you are interested :)

Thank you for sharing! I'm sure that French speaking RPC members will be able to inform us about anything that's discussion worthy.

^^Awesome video! I can wait until the subtitles come out. I suppose I could try auto-translating the generated ones on youtube to English but that doesn't always work out now does it?

A lot of times Google translate can give you an idea but often when words have more than one meaning, you'll end up with the wrong English words a lot from it. Suppose you could get a basic idea for now though until it gets subtitled.

It was really the only time I got stuck, the rest of the game was not too bad for me at 9 playing it. In reality I think I used 2 continues cuz I lost all my lives twice.

I was good at it back then too but I'm not so used to it now with the different physics in newer games and trying to get the Electoons gets you killed a lot too. Think I used 2 continues and I'm on Picture City. I know I cleared the game as a kid anyway because I definitely remember being past Eat At Joe's and then trying to get every cage in the game.

I remember going to Mr. Dark's Dare and then getting killed at least 7 times. 3 by shadow Rayman, 1 because I didn't know those were lemonade pools, adn 3 because I wasn't good at manuevering through the fire.

Edit: dont' know why i said Shadow Rayman, I was thinking of Shadow Mario. But I know it's Bad Rayman.

I have to actually get to it and finish it. I was only playing Eraser Plains earlier. I died about 3 times over trying to get that cage were if I had just ignored it I would've cleared the level.

Hmm, I probably would never have let it go, I like to finish a level fully the first time I play, so i'd be stuck there for HOURS.

Well, Shadow Rayman is the name of a user here. Also the Rayman Legends "Dark Rayman" is reincarnated as a skin named Shadow Ray in Adventures...

SO It seems. Does Bad Rayman match the identity of any of those you mentioned since I haven’t played either of the two?

Trying to make sense of this issue carries with it a high risk of tearing hair out. Nonetheless, I can direct you to https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Talk:Dark_Rayman and viewtopic.php?p=1150198#p1150198 if you feel like taking it on…

I got to Eat At Joe's last night and that really brings back childhood memories. Just seeing Joe and hearing that reggae music brought me back to being 9 again. The nostalgia :P

I see, curious. I think I'll put it on hold though until I have actually played Rayman Adventures one time through. Think when I pick it up in a few days I'll go to Allegro Presto and wait on the second phase, since my favorite track plays there (Harmony).

At least you got that far at 9. I was still frustrated by the trumpets in Allegro Presto.
