What are your thoughts on the 30th Anniversary Edition of Rayman 1?

I love it, it's exactly what I expected!

I love it, but I think the price is a bit excessive for what it is.

It's fine, although I'm not entirely convinced by the soundtrack.

It's okay, although I wouldn't have included the accessibility options (infinite lives, etc.).

I expected more from Ubisoft. They should have made some improvements, just like the fans did with Rayman Redemption.

Well as Plum stated the idea first, maybe we should go with that poll first. Maybe on the next month we can discuss the Rayman content we got in 2023 (even the fan projects), right? :)

We'll go with this one then, and see how it pans out! :)

I know this is a really old post, but ironically "glas" in Swedish means glass, while "glass" means ice-cream. :P

I guess that means people could think I like glass instead of green if they just seen "glas", or maybe confuse glass with ice-cream. :fou:

Green is grön in Swedish also for what it's worth.

Wow, good question. I love TBoM and it is my favourite place in any rayman game, as you probably will have inferrered by now

Reason? I love swamps, and the dark, and fairy-tale like settings. Looks like my opinion was rather unpopular tho! :)

Yes this is a good question and a hard one! My pick ended up going towards Clearleaf Forest, I'm just really attached to its scenery, and also having done a bit of personal writing involving that area makes me partial to it.

But it was a hard pick, because I'm more fond of the music for the Bog of Murk.

I think I find the Bog of Murk more interesting, but that was a close one! I guess it just feels a little more mysterious, and Razoff's castle is a pretty cool location. And seriously, what's up with the Mawpaws?

So this one has ended with a clear winner I see:

I guess we should get to setting up another one then.

Nuts, I somehow forgot to give my vote on this.
I really like both locations. But I would have just went with Bog of Murk to give it some love, since I see a lot of people chose Clearleaf Forest.

I thought it was a mansion! It's actually a castle?

Yeah, it's probably more of a mansion! It's very cool nonetheless. :hap:

As for the next poll, maybe it could be about Rayman Alive?

Sure, this sounds like a great idea!

I guess we'll wait until after the event, then highlight some events which we can implement for the poll. :)

Indeed. There are a lot of different projects that were showcased though as seen here, so I wonder if the poll will have a crazy amount of options. :P

Overall, in 2023 alone, we have:
  • Rayman: Scepter of Leptys
  • Rayman: Mystery
  • Rayman Pirate-Community ad and Rayfanpedia announcement
  • Mr. Stones Armada
  • Rayman: Monsters of The Depths
  • Rayman: Nightmarish
  • Rayman: Minecraft DLC
  • Tonic Detox
  • Rayman Control Panel Anniversary Update
  • The Rayman Show
  • RayUnite
  • Rayman 3 GBA PC Port
  • Rayman: The Big Invasion V0.3
  • Rayman: Distorted
  • Rayman: M2
  • Rayman: Raving Rabbids Reburrowed
  • Rayman Lum'o'Grams
  • Rayman Polokurse
  • Rayman 2 HD
  • Rayman: Revenge of the Dark
  • Art submissions segment
  • Rayman Alive: Fan Film Festival announcement

Of course, not all of these are applicable here, but the majority are.

I would exclude the art submissions and the RPC ad (I mean, we're in RPC, right? ). I think the rest would fit pretty fine in the poll. What do you guys think?

Yeah of course excluding those both would make sense, and the new wiki is already up and running, while I suppose the point of this poll will be regarding anticipation. So yeah, I guess those options will be fine.

I agree, this sounds like a reasonable set of options.
