I know what creatures that could be signifying. Maybe those little spikey rock creatures that appear in TFC and TLOTLD.
 
Those things are fun because Rayman can beat them with one fully charged shot (and the combo frame lasts 6 seconds!!)

You'd think 30 extra points would be gained, wouldn't you? But no, sadly there isn't a bonus for beating these creatures in one hit.

You would, but as I said, the Vortex powerup doesn't last for a long period of time, so killing them all at once is definitely needed.
