General Pokémon Thread

I know, the graphics are really impressive, I just hope it doesn't mean they cut out important bits.

As much as I love Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I can't say that I have high hopes for the Wiiware version. The characters look like papier-mâché projects just like in that below-average Ranch game and the story just won't work if the entire game is 3D like the character models. The appeal of the DS games was the fun animated sprites and gripping storylines, but so far it looks like it has neither of those things. Hopefully some plot details will be revealed soon.

(Wow, I'm the only one that cares about PMD aren't I?)

Serza loves that game :B

I have the first one and i'm considering getting the sequel(s?), the first one has such a sad ending.

You thought that was sad? Ohoho, you need to get Explorers of Time/Darkness. I won't give away too much, but they actually kill off the few characters. I am dead serious, no "defeated" bullshit either. They're gone forever.

Most of them are villains, but I digress.

They actually kill characters? That's a bit much is it not? These games are supposed to be suitable for children for pete's sake.

I wouldn't call it "killing" so much as "erasing them from history" but it's mainly the same thing.

Hardly, there have been plenty of children's movies and whatever in which villains or even heroes are killed. Honestly I think it's a step in the right direction, Pokemon games are almost too childish as it is.

Yeah I might of over-exagerrated there, just got me by surprise.

I don't get how it is getting too childish though. :?

I apologize, I just got through playing Explorers of Sky's epilogue, and well...forget what I said about the dying characters.

I knew they didn't have the balls.
