Globox's species

The model for R2 Globox counts 375 polys. That's as accurate as I can make it. I hope this is enough to be of any meaning at all. If not then I give up.
 
When we say that the word "glute" can refer to "buttock", you don't believe us... I don't understand why.

If I remember correctly, Hunchman801 has said a long time ago that "glute" is a real word. Which exists in our language. On Earth.

And it's real.

I know it's a buttock in real life, but why does that have to mean it has to be that one only specific thing even when it makes no sense with all the quotes? That's what I don't understand. If whatever we tried to do to solve this argument isn't even taken into consideration here, then just go fix the pages already.

I don’t remember Globox saying that he’d never speak ill of glutes or that he was superior to glutes. Could you provide a link to a gameplay video or something?

Well, it's when Globox speaks alone, scared by the Hoodlums. I have heard this in the game. But the problem, it's that in the gameplay videos, the player don't stay next to Globox to listen that he says. So I can't show a piece of evidence myself, sorry...

Teensy is a USB-based microcontroller development system, according some pages on the Internet, that's right.
But it's not the same thing that the word 'glute'. We know that 'Teensy' refers to a native of the Glade of Dreams, and that it's another spelling of the word 'Teensie'.

Some opinions give me the impression that some persons seems to be... well... embarrassed that 'glute' could refer to Globox's buttock. Or maybe frustrated that some persons cast doubt on the fact that 'glute' refers to Globox's species. No?

If Glute can't be used to speak about Globox's species, we can use another word. Me, I have always thought that Globox was the name of Globox's species, due of some sentences heard in some games.

k. I always understood ''teensy'' or ''teensie'' as ''small'' or ''really small'' or ''really teensie''.

In a file from the Rayman 3 demo, the following line is found:
La Glute: Oiseau sauteur, la glute se rencontre essentiellement autour des villes et des villages où elle cherche de la nourriture. Malgré son physique filiforme, la glute est capable de tout ingurgiter: animal, végétal, pierre, métal… Elle est d’ailleurs utilisée comme vide-ordure chez certaines populations ptizêtres.

Based on this booklet, it was already pointed out that the blue bird in the Xowar room is very likely to be called a glute. Now we actually have proof of that.

However, the situation remains complex, with a lot of contradicting evidence. Any thoughts on the subject?
 
Well it is the first time I read that, so I believe we do have an evidence now that Glutes are actually birds and not the Globox's species.
 
Well, this text is revealing.
"Glute" isn't the name of Globox's species.
It's actually a jumping bird, and a scrapped creature from Rayman 3. Another one... :(
But we can see one of them in the Tower of the Leptys, next to the Xowar and the Mawpaw.
 
“Unknown” is not what it's called, nor is it the case for Rayman's species. The species is not unknown, it's actually identified, but doesn't have a name. Globox's species is what we should call it.

Though I'd like to have some more feedback from the rest of the community about this discovery first.

I also want to know what the others think.
 
Hmm, I guess we could fall back on the idea that Globox is named after his species, Baby Globoxs and the like.
 
is it possible they're both called glutes? I'm sure I've heard globox be called a glute before. can't find evidence in rayman 2, there it is simply known as "globox's family." I think his species might be referenced in the daily bubble; I'll check.
Edit: there is nothing within the daily bubble that suggests globox is a Glute, and the others of globox's species are called "red-wizards" or "fakirs"
 
This is hilarious. I think one of the developers must have read on the wiki about Globox being a glute and incorporated this false information into the game ("Biggest glute in the Glade!).
 
How'd this become a global announcement?
Anyways, given we've got an issue like this, perhaps the best thing to do is have an article named "Globox's Species" and explain the issue there.
Bloody continuity migraines...
 
I don't mind calling them glutes if it avoids them being named after their species like Pokemon
