Wasn't the name hippy used in Rayman Designer? I can't remember where it comes from, but I doubt someone made it up.
 
He's the guy in Rayman 1 who gives you the super helicopter power. But the instructions say he's called the musician.
 
Not just the manual. The game itself says "The Musician gives Rayman a Super Helicopter power/Press X to fly" or something like that.
 
It's almost inpossible to get all the cages without cheats.

In Rayman Advance you need to get on a door to a level in the map screen and press select+b+r, select+b+r
