Rayman 1 speedrunning
This guide is to serve as a central hub for all of the relevant knowledge needed to get started with and improve at Rayman speedrunning.
General tips
- The American PlayStation release is the standard for speedrunning, and is the most well-documented.
- If the player holds down a given button, Rayman will perform the corresponding action as soon as possible. For instance, if the player does not have the helicopter ability, holding down X will cause them to jump the first frame they touch a vine.
- Jump-punching is approximately twice as powerful as a regular punch; it breaks cages and kills most enemies in one hit.
- Getting a bigger tether off of a Ring allows the player to move farther and higher than would otherwise be possible.
- If the player changes direction before they are hit by a non-moving object, they can change the direction they are boosted.
- Jumping quickly to the left and right on vines allows the player to get up them more quickly than if they were to simply climb.
- It is often advisable to commit suicide.
Important glitches
Rayman's midair momentum is programmed very strangely. Generally, Rayman's speed is stored in memory until it is reset by the game. This design quirk can be utilized by the player in a couple of ways:
Froot loop boosting
While on a Ring, Rayman's speed, as interpreted by the game, is exponentially higher than his standard walking or running speed. Ordinarily, the player is limited to the latter when jumping off of a Ring, at best.
However, if the player holds up or down, instead of left or right, the game will not reset Rayman's speed. As a result, if the player opts to hold up or down, instead of left or right, Rayman will happily rocket across the level.
This comes in especially handy in Bongo Hills; it allows the player to easily break the infamous "helicopter" cage on the fifth screen without revisiting the level, saving around three minutes of time.
Speed storage
Rayman's "ground" and "midair" speed values are actually completely separate from one another. Rayman's "midair" speed is reset only if his subsequent midair movement exceeds 2px/frame, Rayman's standard walking speed.
As such, if the player slows to a walk before jumping, they will not overwrite this "midair speed" value. This allows speedrunners to, effectively, "store" the large amounts of speed they can get from slippery platforms and Rings.
If the player runs or leaps off the edge of a sprite platform (such as a plum or cloud), the game will immediately switch to the "midair speed" value, causing Rayman to move at the "stored" speed.
One particularly noteworthy example of this is "Plum Skip Skip" (so named because it replaces a notorious trick present in earlier speedruns), which uses the momentum gained in Mr. Sax's Hullabaloo to get over to a vine in Moskito's Nest that would otherwise be impossible to reach.

Pink Plant Woods
Part 1
In this level you generally play while pressing the right arrow key. What you first meet at this stage is this flower. When Rayman gets on it, it moves forward. Use this to climb up on the left and walk a little bit until you can see a vine.. This is called the 'vine boost'. Jump on the vine and press jump again right before hanging. In this way you can get extra speed. There is no risk at all so we can go through all vines like this.
Next here is a zig-zag shaped platform. First, hop up across the first 3 sections by tapping the jump key and quickly switching direction to reduce the jump length.
In the second section a slightly longer jump is needed. This is difficult to do perfectly.
Part 2
For the next screen all you have to do is press the right arrow key the entire time and jump. Here we have several vine boosts as well which we can use like I've previously explained. Jump to the vine around this boundary and press jump again right before hanging onto it. This upright vine is a bit harder, you have to keep holding the 2nd jump button or else you will fall in the water like you see here. If the first jump is too late you go up, but you can just walk if this happens.
Next pass by the photographer and jump over the livingstone or get on the flower and use the vineboost continuously. If you do vineboost where the plums is, then you'll hit by piranhas. So just walk by using 'plum walk' in this section. This will be hard because you have to jump high enough, so instead you can wait to make it easier.
Part 3
After you get the fist, jump-punch the plum while passing by the pink flower. To move a few frames faster, punch the plum once more.
Part 4
Ok. This section is hard for the first level. Like the previous section, it is important that we hold down the right key the entire time. This will get you to the end.
There are two plums here. The first strategy is to use the first plum to go faster, but I will only explain the strategy that I know. You can jump-punch the plum when you arrive at the incline. Afterwards, when the Rayman and the plum overlap, you can jump-punch once more, and one more time afterwards. By doing so, the plum will fall over the water and land on the Livingstone's head. Continue following the path and activate the cage by jumping on the plum once, twice, and then a final jump.
You can get the cage by using 'j+p' on this platform but sometimes you can mispunch so I recommend jumping to the ground and punching while landing. You can double your power by combining the jump and punch move. If you just punch while walking, 2 punches are needed.
After getting to the cage, keep holding down the right arrow and hit j+p twice. Then mobs will be easily killed. Then do one for the vineboost. After this, punch once before hanging onto the vine, and save the cage by punching and landing.
I know that a lot of practice is necessary to do the whole part smoothly.
There is one exception in this situation. You also get a boost when jumping on the plum. In this case you will die if you keep holding the right button and jump-punch because the cycle won't match. You should jump over the second mob and slightly unpress the right key and keep moving. The remaining part is the same.
Here, go through the ceiling after saving the cage. And we get here. There are 3 ways to go through it:
One, just jump over the hammer and crawl. This is simple.
The second method is called a 'hammer jump' which is precise. On the ground here, walk and right before you fall you can use full jump, and vineboost immediately.
The last method is a recently discovered technique. You do the full jump as late as possible, and target the upper side of the plum (or vine) while simultaneously you keep holding down the punch key and release it before the plum lands on the ground. Then hit j+p and the plum will give you a faster speed boost than the vineboost would. If you fail, you get hit by the hammer or you can switch to the hammer jump method like I previously mentioned.
Should you jump too early, it will be hard to push the plum forward.
Next, at the middle of this small stone and this angular place, take a full jump to the vine and vineboost. While landing you can save the cage and this is the end.
So yeah! This is the end of my tutorial to get through the Pink Plant Woods and I'll see you in my next tutorial!
Anguish Lagoon
Part 1
Likewise, hold down the right and walk, then kill him. The fastest way to do this is to get on the plum, punch backwards, then crouch. If you use this strat like in the PS1 version, the next cycle will become slower.
Next get onto the moving plum, then around here jump, then vertical jump to the ground then immediately jump onto the flower. After hearing spawn sound, go back. Since it's also very hard to make the optimal movement here, if you don't feel like it, just take your time jumping and then you can go up and deeply to the right.
Since we don't have the Goldfist yet, press j+p here. For the next hunter, usually we use 'damage-boost'.
Wait a few frames here, then jump to the hunter and hit 'release left' and right afterwards hit 'press only right.' And since you've gotten some damage you can check Rayman's damage off to the left and press left again. You can land on the cage using some extra strength. There are 2 more ways to achieve this but they save only a few frames and take a lot of time to explain, so I'll be skipping that.
For the 'damage-boost,' don't press right and left at the same time. The key is switching direction, so you must release one arrow button. If you press both, Rayman will just stop moving.
Part 2
I will show you only how I do the next part. First, stand on the left side of the left tree, and hit him at the highest point. He'll go to your 12 o'clock after getting hit, so hit him at his closest. For the second hit, do the same exact thing. For the 3rd and 4th hit, don't punch too early, it will take a long time for him to go up.
The 5th hit is a bit tricky. First stand to the right side, and start to walk when he is about to move, and don't stop, Then do a full jump hit when you see the bzzit come down.
Here there is also a double hit strategy. This is my setup.
For the 2nd hit, stay between the trees. Jump at the same time as he moves. If you react after he moves it will be too late, so you need to predict his move and react like a flash. Then punch before the jump. He and me will both get hit. If you jump too early or late, or stand on the wrong spot, you will miss it.
By the way, I'm charging the fist to check only the jump timing. Some others charge quickly right before the jump, but there is no difference. Afterwards it is the same, and don't forget to skip the loading animation.
Part 3
This map is on autoscroll and each part has a different scrolling speed. Stay longer in the faster section, and quickly get out of the slower section. For example, if the next part becomes slower, stay left. Get the gold fist. For the spawned cage go up quickly and get the cage, then move to the right.
Stay right and go up, then left. Press right when you pass by the gold fist. Ta-daa~ The distance is exact. Before landing, stay between middle and top. Don't approach to the right, and press the right button when the buzzer stops. Once you see the green platform you can go straight. If you go too far to the front, then the landing will be too slow. Once you're in the Betilla screen, like with the vine boost, hang and jump instantly. Then you can move on quickly without losing any time.
The Swamps of Forgetfulness
Part 1
Hold down the jump and enter, then turn left and punch the seed as soon as the screen opens. Stay here to get the seed and plant it on the spot. There is nothing special here, just a warm up. Jump-punch the hunter if you didn't get the golden fist.
Part 2
The safest method here is to go down and blow him when Livingstone moves to the right. Then turn left and get the cage.
A slightly more dangerous trick is as soon as you start, run to the right side of the ground here, and then blow him then turn left in the air.
The fastest way is to land on the right side of the first ground and blow the 2nd guy, jump, turn left and then punch. These methods are not that different. , so you can choose.
As with the PPW section, jump-punch twice then drop the plum and jump twice. If you miss the plum, you can go up through the ceiling.
Jump slightly over the yellow flower and punch in the landing. Drop and punch, and turn left at the same time. Release the right button when you turn, and punch the plum again and get it on top of it. Kill the mob first, and jump+punch at the second kind of icicle. If you jump early then you will die.
So there are 2 choices: Just go through and stay at the edge and get on the plum. This is the easiest.
The second one is using camera optimization. Stop at this stone, then turn left. Wait for the camera to touch the left end. Then turn right and jump-punch quickly. Go straight and anticipate the plum's movement. This timing depends on how long it took you to turn left.
Part 3
Go on the plum and jump on the plum. Climb the vine with right+left button and jump. After hearing six sounds, jump to the left and follow Tings. Exact spawn point is on this Ting next to the green bush. Punch the plum and get the cage. For this, I suggested to get the Gold Fist.
Next, the plum speed on this incline is actually random. It's impossible to make the same frame of input every time, so let's increase the possibility. After getting the cage, push the plum with j+p and get on it, and jump as high as possible, turn left, punch and crouch. This fist hits the plum well in PS1, but in the PC version it does not and just depends on luck.
Get on the flower and go straight. Jump on flower1, flower 2, flower 3 and this flower and get on the plum. Do a full jump to the flower and land on the right side, punch with the landing. If it's hard, just land on the ground and go safely. Jump to the vine twice and finish. But this is slightly faster : start to walk down when the flower lines up with the ground.
Moskito's Nest
Part 1
Typically people would get this cage later, but I chose to go to get it from the beginning instead..
Keep an eye on the screen open, check that once Rayman's foot hits the ground, then jump to the left and hang. Once you are certain that you're hanging on the tree, jump to the right and hang, and jump. But Don't jump immediately on the left tree, or you will fall.
Get only 1 Ting and hang here, on this gray tree. Get extra speed to the right and get the cage. If you go all around the tree, then the next fruit cycles will become different.
Jump when the fruit comes about halfway. Go straight and punch the plum without delay, then just stay on the plum. No need to avoid them.
Also here is another new strat by Thextera. Jump at the edge of the pink tree and go on the tree. This is a visual cue. Now, when Rayman and plum meet like this. Spam punch and keep moving right. It's precise but not that risky. In this case, sometimes the piranhas cycle becomes different.
Next. I'll show you own my setup. Jumpunch at here, right side of square. When rayman overlap with rightside of plum, do one more j+p. and stay on it. Right before plum touch the ground, I jump. hang and jump, and jump over the hunter. Like ppw, j+p at the middle of incline to drop the plum. Punch and get on the plum. Ok. Bounce 1, and jump at bounce 2. Then the plum never fall the water. Slight jump after water. This is basic movement with this plum.
If you don't feel like trying to plum skip, just stay on a plum and blow the mob. Then jump holding down the right key.
Part 2
The typical way to do this is to simply spawn the cage, jump off beat with the flower and wait until the next cycle and jump, wait again and repeat.
However, there is a fast strat that's called 'early cycle'. You can save like 5 seconds, but it's a bit tricky. Let me introduce my setup.
First, as soon as the screen opens, press left. The camera will move to the left. Start to walk when the camera is halfway. Go on the tree and half-jump.
If you go deeper then the cycle doesn't fit. So go back and get the cage. Stay at this angle. This is a visual cue, when the left side of the flower ' the standing vine meets. Now move to the right. Stay a bit longer and jump punch to blow him. Full jump to the flower, and wait a bit.
If you look carefully here there are 2 vines on the water. I get on this when the left side of the flower and the vine meet. Jump right before they meet, stay in the air and land when they meet. Then walk on a flower. When the right side of the flower meets with the right vine, jump to the ground, and instantly jump again to the flower.
Normally people skip this ground and jump to the flower directly, but I feel uncomfortable to do that, so I proceed staying on the ground.
In short, do a half turn, and then a half jump and afterwards stay at an angle and walk when they meet with the flower.
Then take a full jump onto the 2nd flower and wait a bit. Jump with good timing. Walk and jump to the ground. Jump to the flower.
After the photo, jump at the edge, or you will fall.
For here, just hang, fall and punch the plum and punch again.
Secondly, you see the spawn point is near to this Ting, so overshoot the plum like this, and punch again while falling. Both ways are not that different.
If you have 2 fast-fists, then charge and release when you see part of the cage, then turn back. If you have only one, then go further. Go more with only slow-fist.
Come back here and turn to the left on the stone, like before. When the camera touches the left end, then move to the right. If you do this you can directly catch the plum.
For the next part, there are several different ways to go. The simple way is just waiting. These flowers don't move at all so you can wait and go safe.
To show you the faster way, jump to the flower and go close to the fruit. Stop for a few frames, and keep moving and get a DMG boost. Keep doing this repeatedly, but never hold right and left at the same time. After that tap-tap and jump lightly.. You need a lot of practice to do this.
Do a dmg boost on the fruit or hunter, and finish. To save a few frames, don't get the damage and jump like this.
Part 3
There is nothing to say about the next screen. Fill in the HP. Don't go too close to the end, because if you touch the end then it will kill you instantly.
Part 4
You can just keep holding right on the last screen. Drop the plum and stop a little bit. Seeing it fall, and push it and go. This part is annoying for the beginners. Punch it when Rayman's eye lines up with the plum. If you miss the plum or it goes too far, then go back to here and spawn again.
Part 5
You can see these 4 sharp patterns. stay on the left one for the first hit. Same for the 2nd hit. For double hits, timing for the movement is the same as before. The standing position is located between the 2nd and 3rd sharp spots.
The rest is simple. If you want 2 double hits, don't take damage here. We need at least 3HPs for Bongo Hills. Hit him at your 12 o'clock, the top middle area. You can see it here in the video.
This next double hit is a bit harder. It's exactly the same as the 1st one, but because of the previous hit you are very busy. Or after waiting do the 8th hit from the right side. This is easier.
For the last hit you can hit him as soon as his head comes out. There is no delay here.
Hold the up button (or down) and jump at this angle around 45 degrees to maintain speed. You have this speed while flying. This is 'speedlock.' Don't forget to hold the up and jump keys down until you land.
Bongo Hills
Part 1
First, there are 2 very simple damage-boosts here. Just watch the video. Using fist-boost is 30 frames faster.
If you don't have the Goldfist, you should jump-punch to the cage. Be careful not to fall at the end.
This method is slightly faster : Hold left until you touch the first cloud. It's a little bit risky, but that's up to you.
Part 2
Now we are on the second screen. This is Spike Skip.
Walk off to the cloud and go left. Stand at the edge of the cloud. Get damage on a yellow note. Walk off and just press the 'only right button' when you get hit. People mostly fail because they press both buttons – right and left.
Then Rayman bounces to the left. Then go to the left.
The next movement is also important. I'd say you should jump along this wall. If you jump too early or try to diagonal jump then the spike blocks you. Wait until you touch the wall. Sometimes you get more damage if you jump late, but it's ok.
Next there are 2 options here. Jump at the edge, blow him, and then jump as late as possible.
Or, you can just drop.
I'll skip this pillar part because it's not that much.
Part 3
For the first cage, go through between this spike and the wall.
The faster way is to get on the rocket and full-jump when Rayman's hair lines up with the ground. Jump and move to the left like an inverted L- shape or stair step shape. Full jump and land at the edge. Keep going onwards and crouch between spikes.
For the next zip, there are also several methods to the set-up. Everyone's method is different, but my method is to move sticking alongside the wall and jump as late and deep as possible. If you jump early, don't go deeply.
Part 4
In the next map, there is a precise jump of 1 frame or 1 pixel at the beginning as well. When Rayman's back feet are placed diagonally, make him jump at the point where the midpoint of his feet and the corner of the pillar meet. It only loses 3 sec/1 failure, so try until you get it.
The 2nd damage booster was discovered recently. Press jump+right key before the screen opens. Keep pressing them until you hang. Then, hang there as it opens, and go up with a tap jump right away. Make sure the lightning moves upward at 45 degrees. It can jump and land while taking damage in reverse. It is slightly slower than the first method mentioned above, but it has a higher probability of success.
Next, Speedlock will be used in the ring. Don't go too close to the ring but stay slightly apart from it, Then, after jumping, stop and hold it, and press the up key the whole way and then jump at about 45 degrees and hold it all the way. When the upper key is released, the acceleration decreases, and when the jump key is released, the speed is reduced, and he falls.
The next lower section goes through with a very slight delay, such as while holding the left key, press the fist button and jump, or while walking, press the fist button at the end and jump. If you don't punch in the correct position, you'll make a mistake, so if you're anxious, just stop and jump.
The next choice is to do a full jump twice just before Rayman hits a note in the middle. This is just a few frames faster. The choice is up to you, as our eyes cannot adapt the first jump often fails.
Part 5
Only this for the 5th screen. Stay at the right on the cloud. Start as soon as you get the Ting. This is fastest. Also on the chocolate ball, do this jump-jump strat as we have learned previously to go up.
Part 6
Go up and turn left quickly near the left leg of the robot. Then damage delivers you to the right. Then wait for the lightning strike and go.
Without waiting, hang here and press the down button. Stay on the left side and avoid the lightning. Here are blink clouds, so be very careful. This cycle time is tight, so jump very quickly onto the 2nd cloud. Here you can also catch the next cloud cycle.
Allegro Presto
Part 1
Unlike in PS1, there is no clip here. Of course you can, but it demands 2frame perfect input so i've never thought about using it. So, just go. Use the charge fist and release it here, turn right, and crawl. You can't walk through this green note. You can walk through this middle one, and crawl again under the last note.
Keep crawling then you get this kind of jump speed. You can't hang with huge speed, so decrease your speed.
After getting the cage, drop like this and crawl under this first note. and stand up, use fist-boost. Release the fist and jump on this Ting. Full jump and crawl to maintain your speed, and stand up again on this angle.
The jump one time and then a second time, so you can easily reach the upper platform. You can still get there without fist-boost but it's a bit slower.
With such increased speed, be careful not to pass by the cage. Tap jump or turn left etc. and drop like this, get more speed here, then turn at this angle and turn again. Slide down here and punch, and jump through the ceiling. Go though at this angle.
To summarize the last clip, jump and press left when you touch this incline. You can’t go through if you are too slow. If too fast, you bounce up too high like this. So jump a little earlier or decrease speed(by releasing the right button).
If you fail it's only 3–4 seconds lost and not worth trying again, so go around by hanging down like this you can save frames.
Part 2
When you go up like this you have to stick to the right side, and when you go up you have to hang and fly with the wind.
Once you go up, jump and turn right here, holding down right and press jump again. Then you can go faster like this.
Then jump at the right side of the platform. After the cage, I recommend to do a big jump from the cloud to the ground, and crawl. Sometimes you can move with the wind, but it's not 100% consistent as far as I know.
Next, you have to catch the wind to go through, or you die if you don't. Use the charging fist on this incline to optimize your movement, and then land on the edge to get the most speed.
Part 3
On the recorder, drop vertically then press right here. Slightly touch the fairy and get a boost.
Don't go with full speed. Just maintain normal speed and jump on the left side of the last platform. Go on the recorder. If you do with full speed then you will be blocked like this.
If you did correctly then you can just keep going, and the cycle will fit perfectly. Also there is a start called 'TBTB'. Fistboost on the 1st platform and touch here, here, here, and jump at the left edge then release the right button before you hang. If you press the right button longer, you will get hit by notes.
Next, for safety, drop here. A faster way to save about 1 second, sliding without pressing any arrow key, and turning left on this angle. Then keep pressing left, get the cage and go up.
Play slowly and safely on the last part if you don't have a consistent setup.
The following is my setup.
Hold right and jump at an angle, and keep holding right then you land here. Don't blame me if you fail this. I said clearly that you need 100% setup. Then do fake jumps to go through. (vid shown)
Twilight Gulch
Part 1
Ok. Basically for a ring boost, hold the up key and j+p when you pass by the next ring.
Get 3 cages that are after this Golem.
Normally you will have 2-3 HPs so fill it with small p at the bottom. It's slightly faster than getting the upper one. The 2nd and 3rd clouds are far so do a full jump.
Crouch on the cloud while you're heading left to not get hit by fragments.
To in order to not to get hit here, get Goldfist and jump immediately and punch Golem's face. Keep walking and jump.
Part 2
There are 2 methods you can use in the beginning of the 2nd screen. (video)
Press up when you get hit by the stone and hold it, so that you can go through it with only 1 damage.
Also there are several ways on the next part. I just crouch by pressing down, and press it again. (down key is also for speedlock) and use the helicopter here, and ringboost on 2nd one.
Or just grab the ring safely. Do whatever you like to do.
This strat is 0.7 seconds faster : To get the exact position, hang and just jump while facing left. Press the down button. Use the helicopter when you pass right here, and then j+p to get ring-boost when you pass by the ring. Fly between these two platforms. Keep going until it seems like you can't anymore and stop.
There is a faster method so I'll skip to that.
The Hard Rocks
Part 1
To drop down, we can use the helicopter. Punch over the ring and go right to make the tether as long as possible. Keep holding up, release the ring around 45 degrees, and land with helicopter.
Part 2
Keep holding right, jump late and late again. To get the highest jump on the cloud, helicopter and cancel right before you land, and bounce with the cloud. Keep going. Hang and press down, then jump onto the 2nd and 3rd clouds. Enter with d-boost, and crawl to go out.
Here you need only 3 Tings to spawn the cage. Go up and dmg-boost, and get this P. Wait a bit before you get it. It's difficult to get it right away so wait a bit and then take it.
After passing the photographer, hang and press down quickly through the cloud. Then keep facing left, and to get the cage jump with facing left as well, then turn right. In this way you can safely get a good cloud cycle.
If you turn right earlier, you should wait one cycle like this. Like bzzit autoscroller, it's better to enter quickly in the scroll section.
In this spot you can hang and jump by taking one damage. Wait for the 2nd cycle and go. Wait a bit, and jump, and wait a bit. Walk and jump here along the cloud's movement. This diagonal movement is best. Sometimes you get hit or have to wait one cycle.
Okay, so first to explain the fastest method: hang here and then drop to the left cloud directly. Press the down key first, and press the left key.
Next, drop to the second cloud on the left. The safest strat is to walk on these clouds and drop. Be careful not to hit this ceiling.
If you do the first or second strat I've explained, jump to the Ting on the edge of this cloud, and back to spawn the cloud. Move on by stepping on the cloud.
Next, here I recommend killing the hunter. If you want to use a d-boost strat, you should use the gun to hit it precisely and turn back. Make sure you don't walk too far to the right. Then crawl to the next angle, stand up and press left. Get hit and walk out. In that way, you can walk through whole part. Slightly crawl at the end and finish.
Part 2
For now jump first, turn left right before getting hit by the spike. Then helicopter.
Next, there is faster strat for here and we call it "fragment skip". People do this fragment skip with their own setup. What I do is wait on this stone, and punch when the rolling rocks come here. Move to the peak and stay. Jump when the bottom of the fragment and the line of the background meet. Then hang and jump twice.
Next, jump to the cloud on the small stone. The fragment will still move if you did the fragment skip, so be careful. If you didn't move like this(vid), move on and get a small p. Then hang, jump and hold down the left key when Rayman moves smoothly by taking only 1 damage.
When you go to spawn the cage, don't fall too far forward or it won't spawn. If you have 1 health, then just jump to the cloud and get hit by a spike.
There is another d-boost after the photographer. Take one dmg at the right side of the cloud, land on the left side and hang on the platform during the twinkles. The twinkles = invincible time . If it's hard, then just do it normally.
Next, can you see the first, second, and third stone? Here jump onto that then sEvery cloud jump is the same. As i said before, use heli and cancel it as close as possible, and jump with a bounce off the cloud.
Drop along the wall, then one life will be spawned on the right. (vid)
When you go in and then out you will use all of the d-boost. (Most you have enough p) Jump far when you get the cage to despawn the Golem. When you go up too, come back from a distance. If you do that and hang here then the Golem will spawn.
In the event of the cycles being delayed, then there is a possibility that that fragment will come to you.
Mr Stone's Peaks
Part 1
This screen depends on how quickly the speedlock starts. During the super-heli, press jump twice to increase your speed. Then press up or down quickly so that you can maintain the speed.
There isn't any special strat here, but let me explain about when to increase/decrease speed. Speedlock on the first section, decrease in this curve, hang and walk here. Hang by holding down right button, then jump. Then increase speed between 2 spikes to get an early cycle in the next cycle.
Two strats after the 2nd photo.
First, wait here and start speedlock when the first spike opens.
Second, go up to the spiky platform by using jump+holding right. Start speedlock when these spikes are going up and down.
In the last section, you can do both - go through or wait one cycle by turning left. It's your choice.
To spawn the cage, it's faster to drop during this time. It's really risky to get this cage in the air, so land on the platform, or hang it on and jump.
Part 3
On the third screen. Stay turning to the left to get the d-boost for the 2nd section. For clouds on top, jump and use heli at the highest position as possible. If you're not comfortable or not skilled enough, then jump them one by one.
Part 4
On the 4th screen, you need fast-fist. To grab the ring, stand at the edge of the platform, and jump. Don't touch the ceiling!
If you touch it, you won't be able to reach the ring, so try again. Get 2 Tings, stop a bit and punch. Target the bottom of the ring. Grab it from the left, and then right.
The easiest way here is to just get on the cloud, and jump twice on the next 2 flickering clouds. The timing to jump onto the first flickering cloud cycle is very short, but it's worth a try.
Then grab the ring and spawn the cage. It's a waste of time to take the bonus speedrun.
This strat is a tight one. Use speedlock when this ring reaches the peak (or when it is rising).
At the ring about 45 degrees before is 'low and fast jump'. So YOU HAVE TO JUMP AT 45 DEGREES OR AFTER IT. Then hang, jump and punch, and turn right, and go up.
Then here, jump at the edge and turn in the air. Start to charge fist as soon as you land, and jump on the small stone.
Keep holding right, and jump. The clouds are a bit far apart, so use the helicopter if you feel uncomfortable.
Next, land between the small stones and use charge-fist, then crawl to the right. Get P.
Turn left and fist-boost on two-thirds of this flat ground. Use helicopter right before you pass by the 1st and 3rd rocks, then cancel it immediately. If it's too
To go through faster, here is some space below the spikes. jump around the small stone and go slightly under this spike. Then you can go through this section without the fist-boost.
After spawning the cage, use heli when you are slightly above the cloud, and press jump again. Then you can jump without delay like this. Try it. Nothing to lose.
When you come down, it's very slippery. so try not to go too far or it will switch to the next cycle. So just land here and tap, tap, tap, and hang to go up. Use the sliding punch on him, get damage, then go up. Go far as you can and then turn in the air. Use fist-boost and finish.
Part 5
As soon as the screen opens, jump-punch the stone in the middle and go directly ahead holding the jump and crawl. In this way you don't get hit.
Here the stone has to have remaining HP in 3, 5, 7, (the odd number like this) If it's an even number, especially 4 HPs, then the stone has a very long cycle. Basically hit in the middle and again at the end.
You have to make time between the first and second hit as long as possible, so the second hit of each cycle must be as late as possible. I jump when he raises his hand and then stay in the air as much as I can, and then hit. Same goes for the left side.
But if this is hard then you can take one hit. (vid)
Z pattern next. If you didn't miss any hits, then get on the rocks on the left, then normal hit, then get on on the right. Setup will differ from person to person, so find your own timing setup.
In my case, I stay on the inside boundary and jump when the right side of the rock passes by a pillar'and jump instantly. (Don't press any other keys.)
This rock's pattern is a back and forth pattern, (1- go, 2-come, 3-go, 4-come) so we go on the 3rd. that is, when it goes away the second time. Punch after checking that Stone's foot touches the ground. Otherwise, you will miss it. Or if you punch too early, then he will disappear. This is called 'stone on vacation.' He appears again after around 3 minutes.
The right side is the same. Stay on the inner boundary. On the 3rd move, the second time that the stone moves away, jump when the left side of the rock passes by pillar, and jump instantly. The hit point is the same as before.
Even so, for the last hit, it's just better to make him disappear. I don't know the timing so I just do that normally.
Twilight Gulch 2
Part 1
Here there is nothing special. Drop at the left, make a small jump here and crawl. Turn left and d-boost. Then go through the ring, jump over the Golem to spawn the cage, and go back, get the cage and finish.
Gong Heights
Part 1
In this level, the cycle is life. I'll skip over explaining the first cage.
A typical cycle is right bongo, then cloud, and then right bongo. The next two clouds ALWAYS meet at the bottom left. Drop and walk to this cloud directly, and run-jump around the 2nd recorder to the Ting in the air. Then get the cage by jumping.
Then you move and jump in a triangle formation. Step on the first cloud from right to the left, and step on the second one down from the right. Then run-jump to the bongos. The Cloud jump is the same as Hard Rocks. Get the cage quickly, and go up by turning right and left.
Take a rest on the cloud, you can see two sun-like things. Run-jump when you pass by the second sun and get the cage.
Use heli to land on the cloud, walk to the rightside of it. Jump at the edge of the cloud to the bongo. You can reach to the middle of next platform from the next cloud. Even if that is not spreaded.
Then you can reach the top of the recorder without waiting. Press up to spawn the cage. Maybe you don't have Goldfist here, so punch twice. Then jump to the bongo when they meet. This cycle depends on your preference, but this is my technique.
And a fast cycle next. It's too hard, so after getting the cage, drop down to the left side of the cloud. Jump to the bongo diagonally above, and then immediately jump again.
Here YOU HAVE TO DO A FULL JUMP. So unlike before, you should wait until the cloud sinks all the way down, then jump. If you do a direct jump like this, you can't reach it.
Once you've completely gone down, use the power from bouncing off the cloud. Then it's the same as before. Press up, spawn the cage and press running+jump+fist at the same time. Slightly land on the left bongo, and next is how I do my cycle. (video shown)
Mr Sax's Hullaballoo
Part 1
This level is quite annoying and a lot of mistakes can be made.
For now, just run. Then decrease your speed, holding the down button to hang on to this platform. Get the cage with one d-boost.
Now pay attention, from here is the problem. If you want the simple route, just go all the way straight through. Stand on the edge of the small platform, then tap-tap-tap-tap to go up. Run off on this slope and stop then you save your speed. This is 'speed storage.' It only works on bongos, flowers, clouds, or plums, etc. Now you have saved speed to go left. You should jump at the very edge. If you jump in the middle, then it becomes a normal jump. It looks so cool!
Next is a hard strat. This is my own strat. Of course you can use another set up.
First, Run straight and become small, use fist-boost and go forward.
Slightly stop before reaching the peak of this slope, land on the peak to get the maximum speed.
Then jump twice. Look at this slope. There are several angular spots and the long slope is in the middle. The first jump is at the beginning of the slope, which is right after this angle. The second jump is at the end of the slope, right before this angle.
To do the second jump, hold the jump key down and get on the cloud, or hang, or get on the recorder and get hit, or jump over the recorder. Sometimes you have key errors on the cloud. This part is inconsistent.
This next section is also annoying. For example there is a glitch that causes you to lose speed like this, so i'll show you a setup that I made.
Keep holding right and run, turn left as soon as you land, then use fist-boost. Then press right before this angle, jump, and jump again before this angle. To be honest, you need luck here. Sometimes you get the best movement like shown, and sometimes you get on here. Or you should use this ball if you jump too low.
If you don't like everything, just run without using the fist-boost. It is a little bit slower but the most reliable.
Next, pass the fairy, turn and fistboost.
Next, You can jump over this greenboy by pressing run+punch+fist. Don't get too close to him. On the symbols, just stay on the right and take one damage. But
Next, is climbing up the ring. This is my setup. For the 3 rings at the bottom, grab the lowest ring from the left. Sometimes you fall on the last ring. So release all the buttons, press jump and right button at around 45 degrees, then hang and jump.
Grab this ring from the left. When this ring is about to move to the right. At the right, follow this order – jump, turn, then punch. Don't jump and turn at same time but turn in the air first. The same goes for the next rings. I've researched this a lot and if you don't use this method, it's more difficult to go up, so I believe this is the best strat for this section.
Drop after the cage, then on the top ring set up speed storage. By using the helicopter,, overshoot the ring and instantly go to the left to make the longest tether as possible. Release the ring by pressing only the jump button when you move like this. There is no need to go further to the right. But don't release the ring too quickly. If so you can't get speed. It's sufficient enough to land on the cloud. But never touch the wall, or it will disappear!
To use speed storage, don't run+jump or touch the wall. You can run or jump separately but not at the same time, and you won't stay alive if you touch the wall either way. If you get damage you will not survive.
Here there is a key glitch that comes out a lot so I recommend you hit left and right repeatedly to get out of it.
Moskito's Nest 2
Part 1
As I said, don't run and jump. Just run and stop here. Then just jump to the plum. Then you have to run-jump at the 'edge'. A common mistake people make is jumping too early or jumping in the middle which kills your speed. Speed is saved if you miss grabbing and die, so try again several times.
If you don't have it, then this is a backup. Visit AL first and make it.(vid)
This speed is not the biggest, because you made it with the ring. So climb slightly and grab the next ring. Get the cage at the bottom of the tree if you didn't get it at the beginning.
The Swamps of Forgetfulness 2
Part 3
Climb up the vine and jump at the crossing of the Ting and the vine. Then after waiting one cycle you can get on.
To get through this cycle quickly, climb by 'tap-tap' then turn left from here. Keep going while facing left. Then jump off at the crossing, use the helicopter below this Ting. Then punch. you can get on as soon as you land on the flower even if it is a bit close.
The rest is the same. Just run and grab the vine. To go faster, go one, two, three (this is flat ground) and jump over the last flower, then use speed-lock and helicopter below the vine. Then you can skip the hunter like this.
I go to PPW first because there is a glitch after AL2.
Pink Plant Woods 2
Part 2
This is the closest spawn point. But if you want more Tings for EP, then go here. Then turn and go back, hang, press down, then get the cage.
A faster strat is : when you drop down, follow this line and turn back, then punch after you touch the ground. Then the punch goes over the mob. You will fail if you don't follow this line or punch too early.
Next, do a speed-lock jump on this boundary that black and green soil meet. Maybe you will get hit, but nothing to lose so i'd say just try it everytime. Get the end cage and run off in a diagonal movement.
Hang onto the 2nd vine and punch the plum, then get on it immediately. Charge and release the punch before the vine, and jump. If this is hard, just wait for the piranha to pass by and then after plum drops, get the cage by going closer to the cage, and jump to the left.
Part 3
Just run through the 3rd screen. There are some small strats but I'll skip it for now.
Anguish Lagoon 2
Part 1
Get the right cage first. Run-jump, then land on the right below the plum, or go slightly further and crouch, then punch. Sometimes you get the cage quickly by doing this. Then get out by turning and d-boost. If you fail, blow the hunter or overshoot the hunter. Or just don't try a fast strat.
There are 2 ways here : jump on this peak and get on the plum, or punch along this line to make the mob duck, and jump-punch the plum, and get on it. Of course you can go slowly here.
Grab the ring after passing this plum. Otherwise, you only make the plum fall and miss the ring. If you wanna go faster, remember this rhythm ---. But it's new and a bit hard LOL
Drop at the left on the tree. NEVER press the right button, just press left and then turn, get the cage, and get out.
Eraser Plains
Part 1
Drop the ball at the boundary of where the pink section and the blue sections meet. Drag it using over-punch. one more over-punch. then get on it quickly and go up by using the ball. There are other ways, maybe.
Use d-boost and get the cage. If you are too close to the wall then it will be far. So move like an isosceles triangle. If you fall along the wall, you have to land on the very middle of the pillar. If you are not sure then land on the left platform, and jump.
The following is my cycle setup. Here, on the small platform, use a helicopter as quickly as possible to not be hit by the ceiling. Or jump early (in the middle of pink). If you have a delayed cycle or feel uncomfortable then wait one cycle.
You can walk after the photographer. This cycle is unchangeable, so you don't need to run.
If you have a bad situation, then stay on the edge to avoid pins. For your information, there is an early cycle. Just slightly turn on here. Jump when the last pencil starts to move down. If you jump too early then it will kill you.
Part 2
Just run. to get the P, step on two-thirds of the pencil, and jump at the blue corner then you can get it.
Next, the simplest and safest way I know is to just wait for these enemies to go by and hang there slowly.
A faster way is, jump-punch him after passing the pencils, and then jump around this crack and hang there. Then keep pressing right, and press one more jump. You bounce off the eraser and automatically get on the sharpener. If you don't punch him, he will block you when you try to grab the ring.
Part 3
In the 3rd stage, the cage is spawned at the beginning. The simple way is to go all the way and become small. Don't wait when you go up here, just punch the left one by running, then get on the normal ball, and land on the sharpener. Then go, and you can become small.
There is a very hard and interesting trick. This is awesome. You can use fist-boost. You can get more speed by fistboost on normal ground only with the small Rayman. This is example(vid)
Using the charging fist, hold the opposite arrow+jump bind (so you are pressing 3 keys) and just release the punch. You should use the helicopter to fly. How long to charge is most important. I watched the split time and counted 2 seconds. I think 1.6sec is enough but it's impossible to check 1.6sec. Then use the heli but quickly, around here. If you use the heli too late or charge too shortly then you will die.
The Blue mob's cycle depends on how quickly you did the whole part. If you're not sure, then hang and check where he is, then turn right here to despawn the mob below.
There is no more power-up until the next boss fight. So think about your HPs. If you have too low then get this one between these platforms.
Then next from here get on, turn and run after getting hit. Get the cage like this, then fall to the purple platform. Which is at right below the middle line. The cycle has been reset, so if you fall directly then you will never get hit by the mob. But if you're late then you will get hit.
Fly and then touch the fairy slightly, go under the pins. If you can maintain height on the 2nd jump, you can go under the pin. Holding up the button, press jump right after then bounce, and again. If you jump too late then you will get hit like this. Press jump as soon as you see bounce. But I recommend not to try on the 2nd jump because this is so risky.
If you're on 99 Tings strat then get d-boost on the pencil, or crawl.
Don't run-jump at the very edge. If you do so you will die.
To spawn, go close to the wall, punch and fall directly. Then go back. Grab the ring from the left when 'the pencil on the farthest right touches the ground' and jump, grab it from the right, then jump. If you miss the cycle it's almost impossible to get on the pencils. Get 100 Tings and go down.
To go faster, fall quickly like this, using the helicopter and slightly going inside. Then throw your fist and go out. At this point, if you can see the pencil point at the right top corner then you can get on early in the cycle. If not, wait one cycle.
Let's see about Ting count
On the Swamps 1st screen, get all Tings(7). The most are on the 2nd screen and 3rd screen. You don't need to get on the plum to get these Tings. You will get 20-25 here.
In PPW get everything. 30 here, 35here, 40 here and 44-45 at the end.
In EP1 get all of them. There are 56-57 or more.
In EP2 get as many as you can. Make it 83-89.
There are 17 Tings at EP3. If you have too many, then skip these. If you have too few, then get the extra Tings here and here.
Try it. Nothing to lose.
Part 4
This bomb is fully rng (random number generation)
The other remaining ones are simple. For the last hit, my setup is this: stay below the second pencil, run as it starts to fall, then jump at the very middle of the mama, and release every button but only press punch. Slow-fist will probably not work. If you do this wrong, the game never proceeds, so be careful. Or just do it normally if you don't know the exact setup.
Pencil Pentathlon
Part 1
Make sure that you are on the upper platform. Slightly run and go up again. Step on here and here, get more speed and slide. This ring is inconsistent so I use the strats below.
A Safe way (if you're in 1HP) is to slide to the bottom. Drop two spikes, jump to the air and spawn the cage. It's a bit annoying to escape here but the safest strategy.
For a faster way – there are several, but this is my simple way. Grab the ring from the left and go right, jump to the here and then drop between here.
When you go up, the 1st and 2nd clouds are far apart, so do a full jump to go up.
Hang, jump and just crawl then automatically you will get speed. You can run and crawl but it is risky.
Fall along the wall and land in the middle of the platform. You can do both: slightly hang on the right and spawn the cloud, or just run-jump to the left pen.
There are 2 ways after getting the cage. Even if you die you can come back. If you spawned the cloud, the position of it is below this line. If you didn't spawn it then step on the left pen and reach like this. For your information, death abuse is 2-3sec slower. The advantage of death abuse is that you have 3 HPs, and there are no clouds. You can turn like this if there are clouds.
Then just crouch in the middle of the incline. If you want to do hunter-jump, jump at the end following this diagonal, directly connecting them towards the end.
Move like this after the photo, then grab the ring below the very right pen. For the upper rings, you can use ring-boost on the first two rings. But it's better to grab the last one normally. The spawn point is a little bit below this so if you go through the top of the ring, then the cage will not be spawned. This ceiling and ring are not too far, so be careful to not to fall when you come out.
Avoid the Aliens like in this cycle. On this slope, just press run+right button. Then grab this ring, jump at the right angle or slightly before 90 degrees, then you can get full speed.
Part 2
Get this P. This part is hard so just get the d-boost. Or get the speed, turn left before the pillar and decrease the speed, then go right again so you can go through without damage.
For some reason, if you keep facing forward then sometimes the next cycle doesn't fit. So turn left here, and go up, punch, and punch again to go close to the wall. Then crawl, use speed-lock while holding down the right key. You can go through with max speed. This is called 'pentless'. If you didn't get the cycle, just wait.
If you are still on good speed, go as closely as possible under this P platform, and step on the next platform, and make a huge jump. If you don't have enough HP then get it. I'll skip the next part.
But on here, there is a high chance to get hit by running off here. Run off on the 1st one, walk off the 2nd one. If you don't have HPs, arrange the heights by looking down. Make the shoe and eraser slightly overlap. There are more details but i'll skip over it.
Part 3
While you keep pressing the right button, hang onto the second one and stop a bit. Then make sure you hang on the 3rd one. Press the jump+down button at the same time. If you press arrows first then you will be bounced back here. Press them at the same time, release down, keep pressing jump, and slightly go to the right. It is 100% consistent. Don't be in a hurry.
If you fail then you will go all the way. A basic principle here is that you have speed to go in one direction, which is the same as a normal movement when you fall. Use that. When you go out after getting the cage, sometimes you accidentally hang here. Anticipate this and press down directly or just go slowly.
With fast-fist, punch and stop a bit in the air. Don't stop too early (or you will fall). For the last landing, press jump on this angle and go slightly under this platform, and use helicopter and land. In the PC version, clouds are spawned below so you can live if you miss something. If this is too scary, just land on the ground and use this red ring.
Space Mama's Crater
Part 1
If you have enough HPs then you can get hit by the 1st and 3rd one.
Be careful not to miss a ring here. For the first cage this is a safe method: punch the spike, grab the ring, and repeat. Make space and get the cage.
If you are confident, then punch bottom one, use the helicopter and get the timing right. If you did very well then you can grab the ring again.
Run off, turn here and run. Go down with one damage. There is a small powerup. Spawn the cage like this, throw the punch, use the helicopter as quickly as possible.
Part 2
The Stormer skip saves about 6-7seconds, but it's not faster if you try it more than 4 times. The method to go directly is to go straight and overshoot this ring and make a big tether and get on it. If you miss, immediately grab this ring. If you miss this again, then you should wait much longer.
For stormer skip, basically overshoot the ring, go to the farthest right. Let’s see slow video. He goes down to here. Push down every key, and punch first when the shoe and bottom of spike are lined up, and press jump+left immediately. Keep holding them until you get onto it.
For these red rings, just press jump+right. The speed-lock can be used by pressing up, but I don't know how.
For the next cage spawn, it's better to be safe and go with the helicopter. Also you can run off here and turn, then hang. But I don't recommend it.
With gold-fist, just tap-punch to get the cage while sliding down. If not, stop and punch twice. Keep running and jump at the angle. Jump lower and manage your speed or you will fly over it.
You can go down the middle. Now you have too much speed, so reduce it by touching the wall. And then here you have to walk down.
Part 3
When your speed is charged, the simple way I know is to jump, jump and then run-jump at the edge. If you don't have speed then you will get damage here. For hanging, stay on here. Jump as soon as you watch the brightest part of the pillar on the top. It's a bit difficult. For backup, you can use this sharpener behind you.
Next, d-boost on the spike, or stay on the sharpener and wait one cycle and jump. This d-boost is best. Next you can just go like this.
For 4 seconds skip, I do it like this. I jump when this sharpener touches the left, then turn in the air, and jump from the sharpener. Then press only jump as soon as I land. Don’t press jump or something.
For rings, turn around here and punch it.
Part 4
You should overshoot here on the 1st or 2nd hit. In my setup, you can see Rayman's nose here. I stay here, do a full jump right before mama touches the ground, then overshoot and duck. Or you can find your own. Sometimes you can get it by accident.
Next, for a double hit. Get hit here, jump and hit, then run to the opposite side. If I stay here, her feet and Rayman's face line up. Then I jump-punch as soon as I see the very end of the laser. These are 3 hit patterns. And the last hit should happen on the left (for the next double hit). If you miss the first double hit, then try it on the right, and run to the left.
The next double hit is the same. Just move slightly to the left. The washing machine pattern is the same as this. After hitting the washing machine, you can hit her only when she is about to shoot. For the last double, you don't need to get damage because she shoots 2 lasers. You can hit her from a far, but I do the same as before. Jump high enough for this last hit.
Crystal Palace
Part 1
There are very hard strats that were found recently here but I'll show you part of them. For the first spawn, grab the ring as close as possible, press left, swing and jump as late as possible. Tap-tap-punch, then it spawns here.
Next, jump and go one frame. Grab it when it is on the bottom (about to move up) and jump with it, following its movement. This is input. If this is too hard, then grab them one by one and use speed-lock here.
Normally on this ring, grab it from the right and left. But while holding the jump button, tap-tap-punch and then grab the upper ring. Keep pressing jump.
It's better to play safe after the cage. The rings between these spikes are also in an awkward place, I also recommend going slowly. Next drop diagonally here. On this ring, do a full jump first, and press right and grab it.
Part 2
So here where the cage is, hang slightly and then jump slightly. Jump them one by one or take damage like this. For this bottom cage, go into this crack. For this cloud, jump to the 2nd one.
The next d-boost is different from PS1. I think my strat is 8frames faster in this version. Take damage from this spike, hang and then jump. Then jump again and spawn the cloud and while holding the punch, jump twice to land on here quickly.
Also at the bottom, hang onto the moving ring, holding the up button and jump following the ring as it rises up, then you can grab the pink ring.
This cloud jump is the same as in Hard Rocks. For these fire rocks, hit by them when they're going to the right. Sometimes you get the d-boost in the wrong direction. Then hang, get the d-boost here, come back to here, and run off so the foothold will despawned. There's not that big of a time difference. At the end, the spawn point is between stone and ground. But it doesn't work smoothly in the pc version so I just break it. Or slide over here by using the helicopter.
Eat at Joe's
Part 2
You can't see anything. Hear the footsteps, one, two, three, and four. Then jump when you can hear the fifth footstep sound. Punch first then run-jump. You can crawl slowly here.
A new strat is to take damage and run. Then take two run-jumps after you get out of the spikes. Run-jump to the cloud, run and get a bonus then take one hit.
Actually there is nothing to explain here. You should know or memorize which is where. Go up and get the cage without taking any damage. This edge is in the middle of two clouds, so you can land on any one of them. Of course you can land on this ground. NEVER DROP DIAGONALLY. You must drop vertically.
Part 3
In the second stage, grab the ring, release the jump button when you're at a right angle or less to fly faster. Then you can avoid the red platform cycle. Break it, hang there and press down instantly.
You have several choices here and it depends on your HPs. If you do the 1st screen as I have explained then you have 4 HPs. We have 3 d-boosts for the fastest movement. Going up here, spawn the ring and run off here.
Let's see one by one. After the birds go by, wait a bit and go. Then like this jump 1, 2, 3, and 4. If you go directly then you will take damage. To avoid this, jump to the right spike here. Then you will automatically land on the left platform. Then go up.
It's better to land on the 3rd platform if possible to despawn the birds from below. Go up then it's also better to take the damage. There are 2 spikes. Take damage by turning right by the right one. But if you have a delayed cycle then just run and spawn it. Then wait a bit.
Next, for this jump you will get hit by this without thinking. Press jump, and press right to go up. Because these rings are far apart, as you grab it turn back to make the tethers longer. The likelihood of this is better. But if you make the tethers too long then the spike will hit you. Or just swing and jump until you grab the upper ring. In any case, press jump long enough. After getting it, grab the lower ring from the right, do a speed-lock and touch the wall, and go.
Just run off with more than 2 HPs and turn. There is some space on the right. So run-jump from here. To go slightly faster, grab the ring. Then there is a treasure-like P. The upper part is simple, so we'll just see the video and move on.
Now we have 5 HPs and need at least 3 for the next screen. Therefore we can use 2 d-boosts.
There are 3 d-boosts. First, het hit by turning here, then run off and drop between the blue stone and the ground. It's a bit tight. If you don't like it just d-boost here and here.
Getting the ring here is a bit tricky. Let's watch the video carefully. Keep holding down left, get this Ting, stop a bit, look to the bottom of the ring and punch there. One fist-boost here is enough.
Part 4
Just run straight here and get damage at the beginning of the spiky section. Then keep going, run-jump after this angle, to a little bit after this incline. Then the spiders are not spawned. Get on the red platform and get hit, or d-boost at the bottom.
Just go. Get the life, and then don't move. Here where the wire begins to peel off. Do a SPEEDLOCK JUMP and then you will go faster. Don't jump early.
Part 5
If you hang here, use only the jump button. NEVER use arrows. If so you will be killed instantly. Don't turn here. If you do the blue stones easily kill you. and skip the rest. Lastly after the cage, with a low jump onto the cloud to go up is faster than going down and riding up on the plate.
Part 6
The first 3 balls are spaced far apart so take a big jump. Next, to go safely, get the d-boost. Or you can just jump over this spike if you wanna take a risk.
In the next part, if you want to go safely, take damage from right spike and go. If you want to go faster then take damage by the left spike, do a speedlock jump when the ball and spike slightly overlap. Next, for the cage, punch by turning left, and don't jump too late on this platform. Then jump on the right, land on the left, then grab the ring quickly and use speedlock again. Then you can fly to the ball on the blue stone.
For safety, crouch and wait for the hammer to go by. Wait enough (or die). You can punch the fish, or just stay crouching. To go faster, take damage by the hammer around here, and wait a bit, and then run-jump. Keep holding the up key. Speedlock and run-jump again, and then you're finished.
Mr Skops' Stalactites
Part 1
There are a lot of brilliant skills, but let's see some normal ones. With a fast-fist, jump to the outside of this cloud and punch, and back. With a slow-fist, land on the next cloud.
To go slowly, grab one by one and skip only the red ring. To go fast, overshoot the 2nd ring, then jump as high as possible (but not too high) and grab this ring, or if you do well then you can use the ring-boost like this. Next, with 4 HPs take damage here to save time at the end. Next, jump high and then speed-lock+ring-boost. Get the cage and go back, go safely here. To go faster, hit the cage in the air (higher than the ring) and grab the ring and go back. Skip P to a quick death at the end. Target on the right part of the cloud, punch and land by turning left. Then you can go up like this, land on this narrow platform and get the cage, get on the platform and grab the ring quickly and jump. If you miss a cycle then wait for the next one.
Ok, I'll arrange the HP count now. With this timing you can grab the ring directly, and with this timing you should land on the platform. and go up. Next, jump when the platform is behind this line, and grab ring from right, and left, then jump. Be careful not to touch the end sign, and go get the cage. If you have 2 HPs, get hit here and here to use death abuse. If you have more than 3 then just fall.
Mr Dark's Dare
Part 1
It's hard to explain so let's check with video. Overstride the angular spot by slightly releasing the right button. You lose speed if there is a gap between the pan and the ground. The most important thing is how to go through the last part. Jump at the peak if you have enough speed. With a slow speed, just reduce it and go carefully.
Part 2
You can hang 3 times in a row, but I never recommend it. Several good runs were dead here by doing that. Go carefully like this.
Touch the right side and drop, jumpjump, then fall by turning left. Skip here, hang safely. Jump at the left side of the cloud for backup. Jump once, touch the wall, and go back.
Part 3
In the beginning of the 3rd screen Clownskip is a key point. This was discovered recently, by doing this to get a definite skip.
First I hit this clown, then run-jump at the edge but use the helicopter at the last second for just a moment. Next, to do the clown-jump, jump here and press jump very quickly again and use the helicopter. If you have only 1 HP or you're not feeling it, then knock him out.
After passing the photographer, just run+jump (don't use heli) to this platform. Decrease your speed here and take a big jump from the left side to the right side. On the slope, take a short jump and go close to the wall on the second jump. After the last slope, go up to get P. It's safer and slower. Go down to move faster but then you have only 3 HPs. Jump at the far end that you can reach, but if you don't feel like it then jump one by one.
Part 4
I replaced the boss fight for the video. For the first hit of the 2nd phase, jump hit as soon as you see her. For the last double hit, you hit the next hit exactly 58 frames after. Try to hit as quickly and as high as possible. You've got nothing to lose.
