Talk:Maths and English with Rayman
Images
As soon as I can get ePSXe to actually work on my Windows 7 [having trouble atm with it] I'll work on retaking those screens. --Cairnie 17:30, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
- I've worked out how to take correctly sized, picel perfect screenshots on my emulator using the built in screenshot taking feature (as opposed to print screening a roughly sized window, as I was forced to do with English with Rayman). The emulator just didn't like English with Rayman for some reason, and refused to take the pictures. It works fine with Rayman Junior - so I'll happily retake them :) --Electoon

Regional releases table
Hey everyone! I just added a table for all the known regional releases of the game and wanted to explain a bit here about it here. As we all know there are an insane amount of releases for the Rayman 1-based educational games and lately I've started cataloguing them all, as well as organizing dumps of the games to soon be uploaded to archive.org under one easy to sort through page. The table I just added here now has been copied from a table I have over on my google drive. Now I wasn't sure how to best format this info for the wiki so I wrote some code to convert this into a wiki table, leaving out the last two columns. But perhaps some things can be improved:
- The file dates should ideally be replaced by the actual release dates. The problem is that they're very hard to find. That's why I went with the file dates just to have some indication of when each version was made.
- The version code, mode, difficulties and text language columns are all extracted from the game files. I do find the information interesting (and most of it is shown when you start the game), but perhaps it's also a bit confusing for users not familiar with the setup of these games?
- Some cells are empty, mainly due to those releases not having been dumped and that I haven't been able to find any information on them.
- Lastly, perhaps we could add direct links to the these games on Ray1Map? As you can see in the google drive table not all of these are on there yet, but I plan to eventually add them all there for viewing.
I'm also planning to update the English with Rayman article in the same way soon. --
