'''Big Mama''' is a gigantic pink tentacled monster who acts as the optional final boss of ''[[Rayman Origins]]'', and the final boss of the [[Back to Origins]] mode of ''[[Rayman Legends]]''. She is fought in the [[Land of the Livid Dead (UbiArt games)|Land of the Livid Dead]], a hellish underworld and optional final level which can only be accessed by collecting all of the [[Skull Tooth|Skull Teeth]] in the game. Several editions of ''[[The Daily Bubble]]'' showed a middle-aged female member of [[Globox's species]], known as [[Voodoo Mamma]], who bore a strong resemblance to Big Mama (and is still mentioned by the [[Polokus|Bubble Dreamer]]); however, in the final version of the game, Big Mama turns into a [[nymph]] named '''Fée de la Mort''' when she is defeated, and [[Voodoo Mamma]] is never seen.

As the [[nymph]] of [[Land of the Livid Dead (UbiArt games)|Land of the Livid Dead]], Fée de la Mort is dressed in Gothic fashion. She sports numerous tattoos on her arms and legs, a pink dress with a hairy skull necklace on the front, spiky, golden wristbands (not unlike her monster form) and hairy skull earrings hanging from each ear. Her hair is purple, with a small bang in front of her face with three ponytails with bones on the ends. Unlike the [[nymph]]s who have all [[fairy]] wings, Fée de la Mort has small bat wings. She also speaks in a deep voice.

In ''[[Rayman Jungle Run]]'', both Big Mama and her [[nymph]] form appear in some of its artwork. On those pictures, the latter seems to be good friends with [[Rayman]]. Her small bang became longer between her eyes which was not previously seen, along with her spiky wristbands being black with sliver spikes instead of gold. Additionally, she has skulls tied on the sides of her legs. It is also where her name is revealed: the artwork refers to her as 'Fée de la Mort', which is French for 'Death Fairy', referencing how she is found in (and likely lives in) the [[Land of the Livid Dead (UbiArt games)|Land of the Livid Dead]] in ''[[Rayman Origins]]''.
