:Good point, but it would be the same thing as moving the Pink Plant Woods to the Primordial Forest, since it is the level's original name in French and yet mentioned in RO's trailer. I also like more "The Crossroads of Dreams" than the current name; curiously I have the habit and I enjoy to compare the original names with the English names, and some french names make more sense than the ones settled in English, like "Le Chaos du Cauchemar" (The Nightmare Havoc/Chaos) sounds much more better than "The Hard Rocks". I approve the suggestion, now it depends also from the others. --Haruka 22:26, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
::Although I prefer many of the French level names ('Le Ciel Chromatique' is another good one), I don't think we should move any more pages to them. Most of the people who read this wiki won't know what's going on if we stop using the names to which they're accustomed. We should definitely mention the original French names in the opening paragraphs of the Rayman 1 level articles, but for the most part we should stick to the names everyone knows. The Pink Plant Woods article is primarily about the location's role as a Rayman 1 level – that's the reason people look it up. The Glade/Crossroads of Dreams is a bit different, since both the original and the translated names are actually used in the English releases of the games. If the world had been referred to as 'The Glade of Dreams' in both Rayman 2 and Rayman 3, I don't think a move to 'The Crossroads of Dreams' would have been justified.

:::Indeed. But I wasn't saying that the levels names should all be moved to the "direct French translations". The Glade of Dreams name only appeared in the Rayman 2 english map, while in Rayman 3's manual it is mentioned as "The Crossroads of Dreams". As I said, from my part you can move the page. --Haruka 15:35, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
:While I do not oppose such a move, I think your arguments deserve a certain attenuation. The probability that the same localisation team translated both games dangerously tends towards zero, which invalidates, in my opinion, the idea that they somehow retracted themselves, and thus any notion of acknowledged error. In fact, both were one-off translations, as we have no way to know which one will be kept in the future (or actually whether any of those will be kept). I do, however, agree with the rest of your message. ;) — 16:44, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
::It was not my intention to suggest that the individuals responsible for the Rayman 2 localisation had retracted their inaccurate translation, but that the company as a whole did when they sanctioned a more faithful localisation for Rayman 3. When the third game was released, the 'Glade of Dreams' translation was unceremoniously brushed aside and replaced with an accurate rendition of the original French name – if they had any intention of making the 'Glade' name permanent, surely they would have used it in Rayman 3 as well? I think the English version of Rayman 3 should be given more weight in these matters than that of Rayman 2 – it seems that the third game was developed primarily for the English-speaking (largely American) audience, and a substantial amount of the game's budget was probably spent on the English-language voice actors. I believe that Rayman 2, on other hand, was designed with a greater focus on the French market – certainly with less emphasis on the American one. Lastly I would like to draw attention to the Rayman Origins trailer – if its style of translation is indicative of that of the final game, it would seem that this game hews much closer to the original French material, disregarding such translations as 'Pink Plant Woods' in the name of fidelity to the original versions.

== 7 islands == | |||
I've just observed this in the original map of the G.O.D.. And from what I saw in RO's map, it shows up 6 islands. I do wonder if this is a coincidence or if it is suppoused to be based in the islands seen side of the archipelago. --Haruka 20:01, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
:That occurred to me too, but I think it's best if we wait for the release of the game to see if the developers have a real answer for us. —Spiraldoor 22:41, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
::Same opinion. There might be a possibility of being just a figurative representation. --Haruka 22:51, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
