In [[Rayman 1|the original ''Rayman'' game]], large-mouthed fish appear in [[the Caves of Skops]], in the last phase of [[Eat at Joe's]]. They represent the main danger in this level. Large-mouthed fish swim back and forth and try to bite [[Rayman]] when he is in sight. It is recommended to duck, but it is however possible, with perfect timing, to [[Telescopic fist|punch]] them when they jump. They somewhat resemble the [[piranha]]s from the earlier levels of the game.
