"It's Good To Be The King" is a 1999 song by the French pop group Royal.V. A collaboration between Ubi Soft and Sony Music Media, it was created as a promotional single for the launch of Rayman 2.

The single

Adapted from Mel Brooks' 1981 novelty single "It's Good To Be The King Rap", the lyrics describe Rayman's heroism and abilities. The music video features animations of Rayman and early footage of Rayman 2 integrated with live-action footage of Royal.V. The single was released on vinyl and CD formats at the end of September 1999, two to three weeks before the game's launch at the end of October 1999.[1] Rayman is featured with the lead Royal.V singers on the CD and vinyl packaging, and the CD release includes the PC demo of Rayman 2.
