Bats are present in Rayman Revolution and Rayman 2: The Great Escape for Sega Dreamcast console. They are very uncommon and play a small role in the PS2 version, while they can be seen in most levels on the Dreamcast version.
In the PlayStation 2 Version
Bats are most abundant in The Tomb of the Ancients. They fly quickly and prove difficult to hit; a comprimise for their lack of Resistance. They can also be found in the Ray-Type Challenge.
In the Dreamcast Version
Contrary to the Playstation 2's version Bats don't attack Rayman. They can be found in most levels of the game flying away either due to Rayman's approach or being just living background element.
