They are said to be venerable travellers that only die if they eat too many hash browns and have a little accident in their shells. <sup>[http://www.raymanpc.com/wiki/en/images/a/a8/Turtlesource.jpg[source]]</sup> You can pick them up and walk around with them or kick them away, sending them spinning though the air. It would then complain about [[Rayman]]'s actions in a humourous way. They would speak in old, croaky voices, and sometimes you can spot two being affectionate to each other. The tortoises appear in [[the Fairy Council]], [[Clearleaf Forest]] and [[the Land of the Livid Dead]].
