:::Doesn't Toots refer to Globox as "The Incredible Glute"? And when Globox flies, doesn't he say "Not even Spider-Glute can do this!"? I doubt there's a superhero called "Spider-Arse" in Rayman's world. Alternatively, we could ask Ubisoft, they would know. --iHeckler9 12:41, 6 June 2012 (CEST) | :::Doesn't Toots refer to Globox as "The Incredible Glute"? :::Toots says something like "Would the incredible glute please report to the welcome desk..." in the warehouse of the Hoodlum Headquarters. First, you must know that this sentence doesn't exist in the French version. At this moment of the game, Toots says: "Le Capitaine Flamme est demandé à la poudrière" ("Captain Flame is wanted to the powder magazine"). | ::::Toots says something like "Would the incredible glute please report to the welcome desk..." in the warehouse of the Hoodlum Headquarters. :::In the English version, there is no piece of evidence that Toots speaks about Globox in this sentence. She maybe speaks about someone that she knows, like a Hoodlum. Anyway, the person isn't important. Observe this sentence with attention: "Would the incredible glute please report to the welcome desk..." We know that Toots is a little... well... nymphomaniac. Remember when she speaks about the temperature at the beginning of the Hoodlum Headquarters, and in the foundry (Third section). If we suppose that glute mean buttock, this sentence is very clear. The incredible glute is the surname of someone that Toots knows, or of Globox, who has a big buttock. An incredible buttock. And she wants that this person comes to the welcome desk, because she wants... have sex with him. | ::::In the English version, there is no piece of evidence that Toots speaks about Globox in this sentence. :::And for this Spider-Glute, well, don't forget that Globox is drunk when he said this, so it's normal that he said strange things. He speaks about a superhero called Spider-Something, or maybe Spider Man himself, this is not impossible. But I think that the word glute can refer to buttock in this sentence too. Let me explain: When Globox flies, he inflates, right? And which part of his body inflates? His stomach and... his behind. And he arrives to fly like this. So, if glute means buttock, by Spider-Glute, Globox wants to say the glute of this superhero. The buttock of this superhero. Now, you understand the sentence? You understand why Globox says that this Spider-Something can't fly with his glute? -- Boomboleros7 15:23, 6 June 2012 (CEST) | ::::And for this Spider-Glute, well, don't forget that Globox is drunk when he said this, so it's normal that he said strange things. :::::Your idea that Globox was talking about Spider-Man's arse sounds... contrived, to say the least. As for Toots's line, sorry, but 'Would the incredible Glute please report to the welcome desk?' makes no sense at all unless the term 'Glute' refers to a person. No way is she referring to him as an arse. Regarding the line about the 816 polygons: could you find the exact quote? I seem to remember Globox directly comparing own 3D model to that of a 'standard Glute', which would further support the idea that this is the name of his species.
:::::I think the English version of Rayman 3 makes it perfectly clear that 'Glute' is the official English name for Globox's species. This might be problematic for the French wiki, but over here we use the English localisations as our main resource. That's why we call it 'The Glade of Dreams' rather than 'The Crossroads of Dreams'. If Globox is a Glute in the English Rayman 3, he's a Glute on the English RayWiki. —Spiraldoor 18:08, 6 June 2012 (CEST)
