Popolopoï is a species of butterfly. Butterflie's are found all over Rayman's world, but they are given this unusual name in Rayman M. Popolopoï is a type of racing game where the character has to shoot any Popolopoï butterflies that they see in order to build up the decreasing time. In this, Popolopoï are either blue or yellow (gold). Yellow popolopoï increase the time much higher than that of blue ones. In this case, they are much rarer.
Popolopoï are also seen in areas such as the Woods of Light in Rayman 2 and the Fairy Council in Rayman 3, but in these games they are not given the significance they have in Rayman M.
Blue butterflies which may or may not be Popolopoï are seen in the Dream Forest in Rayman 1.
