A '''liana''' is a type of pink-leafed, vine-like plant found in the [[Rayman (series)|''Rayman'' series]], most notably in [[Rayman 1|the original game]] and its spin-offs, ''[[Rayman Designer]]'' and ''[[Rayman Junior]]''. In these games they appear only in [[the Dream Forest]], and their primary purpose is to allow [[Rayman]] to climb them to reach higher areas. In ''[[Rayman 2: The Great Escape|Rayman 2]]'', lianas are less colourful and more realistic, and their functionality has been adapted to 3D; [[Rayman]] no longer needs to jump from vine to vine, as he can now climb smoothly along in any direction.
