In the upcoming game Rayman Origins - the Nimps appear to be a species of fairies that live in the primordial forest who appear to receive their power from the 'beams' of the moon. However strangely the Rayman Origins trailer mentions that they both witnessed the birth (abstractly) but also used their powers to create Rayman ("woven together by us, the Nimps").
Facts: A good character Magical and may relate back to Betilla the fairy (However we have no indication of whether they are actually fairys as they do not reside in the glade of Dreams and was quoted to be the 'nimp people'.
