Resistance
As I said there, the size of the enemies' life bars in the PC, N64 and DC versions of Rayman 2 is always proportional to their resistance, as any shot (whether it's charged or not, with or without a power fist) will always remove the same length from any enemy's bar (i.e. 16px for a basic shot using a 640px-wide resolution). This is valid for all types of pirates, but also spiders and mini Janos, which leads me to assume that Foutch has no reason to break with this rule. Judging by his life bar, he has exactly 30 hit points, 13 of which are taken away by each stalactite; you certainly have already noticed that they actually accounted for more than one third of his life. In Revolution, the size of the life bar is arbitrary, but the proportions of the damage inflicted by the stalactites are still respected, which is perfectly coherent indeed with such an assumption. Last but not least, this figure definitely makes sense to me, as it seems to be a reasonable measurement of Foutch's strength. So
now, two things:
*Do you agree with me on displaying Foutch's resistance as 30 HP?
*What do you think could be done to find out the other guardians' resistance given what we already know?
Thank you for your reply! — 14:34, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
