:How come you haven't posted this on PC anytime before? As for what genres the whole soundtrack is best described I'll have to go through it all again but the least I think most of it is fusion of two styles or more. That and how very, very 90's it is. --Cairnie 12:20, 2 January 2012 (UTC) | |||

Article name change
As I'm writing up a style guide, I've checked this article, and I think we should change the article's name to something like, Rayman (original game) or something. Let's be honest, hardly any first games in series have the number 1 in it, and while it's easier to call it that, it doesn't look professional to me. --

- I do like reffering the original Rayman game as Rayman 1, but I do agree with StaceyW. Evil Rayman 11:50, 27th September 2009
- There should be a "Rayman (game)" article for R1, and a "Rayman" article for the character. Perhaps there should also be a "Rayman (series)" article. Spiraldoor 16:06, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Rayman (game) already redirects to Rayman 1. I don't think we should do anything else. — Hunchman801 16:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- I know this discussion was settled over a year ago, but lately I've been having second thoughts about it. I think we're actually the only wiki that has the first instalment of our series located at a page with a '1' in the title, and it does look sort of unprofessional. We never even refer to is as Rayman 1 in articles, just the original Rayman game or something to that effect. What's the point of locating it at Rayman 1 if we're never even going to refer to it as Rayman 1 anywhere on the wiki? I'm leaning towards Rayman at the moment. —Spiraldoor 00:10, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah Spiral is right. Rayman 1 is a name given by people to recognize the game, but Ubisoft named the game just Rayman. — RaySpola 20:44, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Not to revive this debate, but I thought it was interesting how the title 'Rayman 1' seems to have become semi-official in the last year. Many of the developer interviews we saw around the time of Origins referred to the original game as 'Rayman 1' – Ancel himself did, on at least one or two occasions. It's also called 'Rayman 1' in the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, when you talk to Brainox in the Globox Village. —Spiraldoor

Lists in levels
Could we possibly put in a list in every part of a level saying how many powers/double powers/super powers there are, how many enemies there are, how many lives there, ect. Evil Rayman 11:50, 27th September 2009
- Sounds like a great idea, but it's also a lot of work. What about starting to list them all on the forums, so that we can decide later how to put it in form? — Hunchman801 16:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll do that soon when I have some time. Evil Rayman 17:37, September 28th 2009
Soundtrack
- Noticed that a section about the soundtrack was added, and suddenly wondered if anyone else was aware of the Rayman Demo Tape track. It's an early prototype recording from when the Jaguar version was being developed, and features Remi Gazel on the piano playing various pieces from the game, including an unused track. Am I the only one that knows of this?

- This is news to me. Do you have a copy of this recording, or know where we can find one online? —Spiraldoor
