Pencil sharpeners are objects found in in Rayman 1, and the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids.
In the original game, they are found in Picture City. They serve as platforms that Rayman can use a surface to progress, they can be either static or follow various trajectories, and are used to cross various chasms that would not otherwise be traversable.
In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, they are found in the Child world, but they serve a different purpose. They have a funnelled shape, and will change Rayman's size accordingly, much akin to the Flying Blue Elves from the original game. The Funnels would later serve the same purpose in Rayman Origins.
