Super helicopter: Difference between revisions

The '''Super Helicopter''' is a temporary power in the [[Rayman 1|original game]], which is received twice, in [[Mr Stone's Peaks]], when [[Rayman]] is given the potion by [[the Musician]], and in [[Pencil Pentathlon]], where he finds another potion. It can be considered as an upgrade to the [[Helicopter]] power, as it allows him to fly in the air with his hair.

In [[Rayman 2: The Great Escape|Rayman 2]], when [[Rayman]] goes [[beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava]], [[Ly the Fairy|Ly]] appears before him and gives him a [[Silver Lum]], which upgrades his [[Helicopter]] to Super Helicopter again, so that he can fly in the huge lava corridors. Unfortunately, at the end of the level, he loses this upgrade to [[Foutch]], who thumps him. In [[Rayman Revolution]], this was partially restored, meaning that he could permanently fly only over pools of lava.

The Super Helicopter ability was revisited in [[Rayman_3:_Hoodlum_Havoc|Rayman 3]], in the form of the [[Laser-Washing Powder|Throttle Copter]]. The Throttle Copter is, of the five, the power with the shortest time limit, though it allows for brief flying similar to that in previous games. Instead of using his hair, [[Rayman]] uses the helices on his helmet.

In the [[Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc (GBA)|Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc]], [[Rayman]] receives the power to fly with his [[Helicopter]] so long as he consumed a [[Blue Lum]] - small ones would let him fly for a little while, whereas large ones allowed him to fly until the end of the level.
