Phoenix Studio was a France video game developer that was producing the cancelled Rayman 4. The company was cooperating with Ubisoft. The studio was closed in November 2009 due to financial problems.[1]

C.E.O of the studio was Pierre Arnaud Mousson, studio director was Pascall Stradella.

Games developed and co-developed by Phoenix

  • Winnie the Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure
  • Movie Studios Party
  • Petz Rescue Endangered Paradise
  • Petz: Horse Club
  • Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard (game)

Issues with the company name

A lot of sources (like GiantBomb) are connecting Phoenix Studio with Phoenix Interactive Entertainment, that is a mistake. The PIE was a British company which developed two games in years 1995-1997. The Rayman Phoenix website is not helping, in games developed by the company the developer is called "Phoenix Studio" but at the website for some time was called "Phoenix Interactive" (sometimes this name is used in media). This doesn't change the fact that it has nothing in common with the British studio. Over the years have been created a lot of companies with a similar name. At the portal LinkedIn, some former employees are marked as old workers in Phoenix Interactive Design, a Canadian ATM software company, which is not true.
