The Swingman is a creature that appears in Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Rayman Jungle Run, and Rayman Fiesta Run.

Description

Never refuse a helping hand. These congenial creatures grow as many arms as there are friends who need a lift up... They niche in auspicious places, poised over preposterous precipices with a gentle smile that flashes from their blue faces, hiding their true nature as the Glade's most popular swinging singles!
—Manual, Rayman Origins

Swingmen have a similar role in the game to flying rings in the original Rayman game, Purple Lums in Rayman 2 and the flying hooks from Rayman 3; they are used by the heroes in order to swing, helping them reach places they can not reach by jumping alone. They are flying blue blob-like creatures with a small purple hat, angel-like wings and protruding swinging arms which the heroes can grab onto as they approach one.

In Rayman Origins

Swingmen can protrude up to four arms at a time, one arm for each hero. Unlike the Fakirs and swinging vines, Swingmen have a more predictable management in multiplayer mode, as both the Fakirs and swinging vines require various players to control one single swinging element, while the Swingmen's multiple arms allow each hero to have their own swinging element; however, the Swingmen move their arms automatically, and cannot be controlled by the heroes manually.

In Rayman Legends

Swingmen appear in levels the Back to Origins painting, where they serve the same purpose as they do in Rayman Origins.

In Rayman Jungle Run, Rayman Fiesta Run, and Rayman Adventures

Swingmen appear near Lum trails in these games; the heroes can to grab their hand and jump with precise timing in order to acquire all of the Lums.

Trivia

  • Platformmen seem to have a close relation with Swingmen.
