Talk:Foutch

Does he says anything during the game? I've played a PC version of Rayman 2 and he doesn't say anything there.

Resistance
As I said there, the size of the enemies' life bars in the PC, N64 and DC versions of Rayman 2 is always proportional to their resistance, as any shot (whether it's charged or not, with or without a power fist) will always remove the same length from any enemy's bar (i.e. 16px for a basic shot using a 640px-wide resolution). This is valid for all types of pirates, but also spiders and mini Janos, which leads me to assume that Foutch has no reason to break with this rule. Judging by his life bar, he has exactly 30 hit points, 13 of which are taken away by each stalactite; you certainly have already noticed that they actually accounted for more than one third of his life. In Revolution, the size of the life bar is arbitrary, but the proportions of the damage inflicted by the stalactites are still respected, which is perfectly coherent indeed with such an assumption. Last but not least, this figure definitely makes sense to me, as it seems to be a reasonable measurement of Foutch's strength. So now, two things:
- Do you agree with me on displaying Foutch's resistance as 30 HP?
- What do you think could be done to find out the other guardians' resistance given what we already know?

- I guess it can be shown as 30 HP according to the bar lenght theory that you've presented here, I don't think there's an alternative way to calculate the damage. -- Haruka 15:23, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- I think a resistance of 30 for Foutch implies that Axel's resistance is somewhere in the region of 10 – assuming that the stalactite and the icicle are equal, Axel should have about a third of Foutch's health. Perhaps it is slightly higher or lower, but almost certainly under 14. As for Grolem 13, I'm uncertain as to how exactly his health can be calculated, but 640px-wide screenshots of Grolem 13's health bar taken at various stages of damage should be a great help. —Spiraldoor 17:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- Unless my video of the confront against Grolem 13 helps in anything. But maybe the thunderbolts of the black clouds cause the same damage as the stalactite with Foutch? Like that Grolem 13 would have also around 30 HP. -- Haruka 18:09, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
