Rayman was to have come across this kind of hippopotamus in the Clearleaf Forest. He had no particular purpose in the game. He was just an environmental animal, drinking from a stream.

The Snoot was a creature who would have appeared in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc as a background character. Like the Goaty and Snorty, it was cut from the final game to avoid overloading the universe with creatures and sending the player off on false trails. This creature apparently lived in the Clearleaf Forest.
