Names

Some of the names in the article, i.e. 'mockingbird', were obviously never meant to be the bosses'. What should we call them? —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 18:42, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

I think we better call them like that, because we don't have any other official source. Anyway, I don't know why shouldn't we call it "Mocking Bird" if we have a "Blowing Bird" and a "Viking Bird" (got the name while stealing some pictures from the original website).--Sergiomonty 20:03, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
I wonder if by digging up textures, Droolie can find out anything interesting. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 21:45, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
I had a look at the textures - and they just generically refer to to the bird as 'Guardian - Music World' - presumably a temporary development name. So nothing there --ElectoonFly.png 22:11, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
'Mocking Bird', 'Murray' and 'Daisy' are what they're called in the level names, so I don't see what's wrong with just using those ones. —Spiraldoor IconSpiralDoor.png
The name of the level is nothing but a reference to the book To Kill a Mockingbird. While I'm not sure about 'Murray', I believe names such as 'Giant daisy', 'Giant bird', etc. are the best we can do. —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 10:26, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Kings and Queens?

In the script of Rayman Origins, the nymphs say to Rayman: "We must find and free the king or queen of each land to open the ancient door!" So, do you think that some boss of the game could be queens? And if yes, which ones? --Boomboleros7 01:09, 16 May 2014 (CEST)

Most likely Daisy and Mocking Bird. --iHeckler9Life.gif 18:19, 16 May 2014 (CEST)
Is that dialogue in the actual game? —Spiraldoor IconSpiralDoor.png 13:46, 17 May 2014 (CEST)
Looking at this cutscene, they're referred to as kings only in the final game --Sig5 2TEST.png 14:41, 17 May 2014 (CEST)
Thanks to Rayman Fiesta Run, we know the real name of Daisy and Dragon Chef: Carnivora and El Stomacho.
Here's my suggestions:
- Replace "Daisy" with "Carnivora", and precise that she's a queen (because of her appearance and her name)
- Precise that the "Mocking Bird" is a queen (because of her appearance and the fact that she lays eggs)
- Replace "Dragon Chef" with "El Stomacho"
- Replace "Four Kings" by something else, like "Kings and Queens of the Glade"
What do you think? --Boomboleros7 21:15, 19 June 2014 (CEST)
Seems like a reasonable proposal, I'm for it. --Sig5 2TEST.png 21:30, 19 June 2014 (CEST)
Hmmm, sounds goods to me. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 13:24, 20 June 2014 (CEST)
Sounds good, just not too sure about the new name of the "Four Kings" article so I'll ponder it. —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 16:03, 20 June 2014 (CEST)
We can do edits again, so I will replace the names of "Daisy" and "Dragon Chef" very soon.
But in the game files of Origins, I read that the sea boss is called Creveton. It is derived of the French word "crevette" ("shrimp" in English).
Do you think we could this name instead of "Shrimp king"? --Boomboleros7 02:06, 9 August 2014 (CEST)
If it's a name from the files it's still better than one we made up so I'm all for it. I guess the mocking bird is the only one that still has a made-up name now. —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 14:30, 9 August 2014 (CEST)
I agree with Hunch. At least it is already something. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 00:41, 10 August 2014 (CEST)
Okay then.
Any idea to replace the ""Four Kings" title, as there are queens among those bosses? --Boomboleros7 03:10, 10 August 2014 (CEST)
If we had to, I'd suggest "Four Rulers". --iHeckler9Life.gif 10:46, 10 August 2014 (CEST)
Nice title. It's short and it correspond to the statut of the four bosses.
Are there others suggestions? --Boomboleros7 01:20, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
It sounds ok for me. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 14:13, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I'm not really for changing it since "Four Kings" is actually used in the game and "Four Rulers" isn't. —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 17:58, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
In that case, do you think we should keep "Four Kings", and juste precise that Carnivora and Mocking Bird are females on their own pages? --Boomboleros7 18:30, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I like that idea. --iHeckler9Life.gif 18:35, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
