Noirôdeurs hide inside holes and stay there for the rest of their lives, watching everything that happens nearby.
—Official website (translated from French), Rayman 3

Noirôdeurs[1] are creatures which appear in Rayman 3.

They are described as beings that live their entire life in a hole and spend their time watching what happens in the vicinity of their hideout. Their appearance is unknown, and only their large, glowing eyes are visible.

Rayman encounters Noirôdeurs in the forest in the second part of the Fairy Council, where their hole is generally dug in the trunk of a tree.

Their name is a portmanteau of "noir" and "rôdeur", which translates to "black lurker".

Notes

  1. Only their French name is known, from the Rayman 3 press kit.
