Rayman using the Lockjaw on the Flying hook.

Flying hooks are metallic objects hovering in the air by a propeller. With the Lockjaw, Rayman can grab onto them and reach otherwise inaccessible places. They replace flying rings in Rayman and purple Lums in Rayman 2.

You first come across flying hooks in Clearleaf Forest where you are first introduced to the Lockjaw power, and they are since seen throughout the rest of the game.
