Let's have a new start: it looks like you're getting confused with all the different versions, this is why we should consider them separately (and avoid using Revolution as a reference given its dodgy resistance system). If we are to focus on the original version, there is a strong pirate (9 HP) at the end of the Tomb of the Ancients, in a room with a keg dispenser (just before the technical check-up). It's kinda hard since he keeps running after Rayman, but I know for a fact that it's possible to throw a keg at him. There is also the barrel pirate Spiral mentioned at the end of the Top of the World, with a resistance of 20 HP.

As concerns Revolution, it's hard to measure from a photograph but is that one third of the pirate's life? From what I know, a keg is enough to defeat a green pirate, but I don't know about their purple and red counterparts, is there any place to try? Also, Haruka, in which version were you able to defeat the barrel pirate with a single keg?

And finally, the cannons from the pirate ships inflict 5 damage in the PC, N64, DC and PS versions of the game.
