Eig is a very mysterious character from Rayman 2, also known as the Swamp Monster. He is commonly mistaken for Jano, the Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams, but he is actually a different character. All we know about him is that he spends his time getting drunk with the fermented liquors in the swamps.

Eig

In Rayman Revolution, Eig distinctly appears when traveling across the Marshes of Awakening. While he seems to follow Rayman, he is quite pacific and doesn't attack him. In the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, Eig can be seen for a split second as Rayman enters the second area of the Marshes of Awakening, and he sometimes appears in the swampy area near the beginning of the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, though this is very rare, and it is unknown what causes Eig to appear there.
