A Ting is a collectable item in Rayman. It is a small blue crystal ball that is found scattered across the region in large numbers, often leading Rayman to hidden cages or to safety. Collecting 100 Tings gets Rayman a bonus life and resets his Ting count back to 0, but he will lose all Tings he is currently holding if he loses a life. It is also apparently used as some kind of currency, as ten Tings are needed to be paid to the Magician in order to enter one of his bonus levels.
In Rayman Designer, there are Tings of various colours, used to open doors.
In Rayman Junior, Tings are referred to as "Bubbles".
In the Game Boy Color version of the game, Tings are revealed to be tiny fairies.
In the 2D beta version of Rayman 2, Tings are silvery and metallic.
