Talk:Mocking Bird
Giant Bird?
Why did Hunchman change the name? I thought everybody here agreed to call it "Mocking Bird"--Sergiomonty 15:02, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- I believe that the title isn't conclusive enough for the bird being named as "Mocking Bird". That's why. -- Haruka 15:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- It was conclusive enough for me. The level is called 'To Bubblize a Mocking Bird', and the objective is to bubblize... a Mocking Bird. The fact that the name happens to contain a pun doesn't negate it in my view. 'Giant bird' doesn't make much sense as an alternative, as the bird is only a giant in his corrupt form. —Spiraldoor 15:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- We needed to hear more opinions because it seems we are splitted. -- Haruka 19:04, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- The phrase "Mocking Bird" is the only official source that we have from the game; the game suggests us to simply call it like that. if it sounds ridiculous or not that's not our problem, but "Giant Bird" just sounds poorly made up. No offense--Sergiomonty 01:02, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I don't find offensive but if we all arrived onto an agreement, regardless what it would be the final name for the bird, I wouldn't mind with anything. I guess you need to convince Hunch, because it was him to apparently named this creature as "giant bird". -- Haruka 19:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

- The name of the level is merely a refe rence to the book To Kill a Mockingbird, which is why I don't believe 'Mocking Bird' is meant to be the name of the boss. 'Giant bird' certainly wasn't the brightest initiative, but at least it doesn't take for given what could only be part of a pun. As concerns capitalisation, that's the case for every level so I don't find it particularly relevant to the current issue. Moreover, neither 'Giant bird', 'Mocking bird' are even 'Daisy' are specific enough to designate the corresponding characters. Because a boss is a daisy means we should call it that? Why not refer to them as 'guardians'? After all, that's what the bird is called in the textures: music guardian (more precisely 'Guardian - Music World' according to Electoon). — 18:49, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
