Description
Knives are one of the enemies encountered in the Gourmand Land and Luscious Lakes, both themed around the culinary arts and food. They are found in the Infernal Kitchens, the undergound areas of these worlds.
There are two types of knives. Some have a thin blade and two white eyes. Others have a thick blade and no eyes. Both types have a yellow handle.
In Rayman Origins
When the Nightmares invade the Glade of Dreams, Knives were amongst the creatures who invaded and act with aggression. They are seen in various levels, their hiding spot can be determined as a red laser is generated from there, the heroes can use this to their advantage by moving through the laser with good timing, as the knife emerges when the heroes pass through this laser. Knives cannot be defeated, but only cause damage to the heroes if they come into contact with their blades.
Eyeless knives tend to have ropes attached to them, which the heroes can swing on, much like a Liana.
In Rayman Legends
Knives do not appear in the main levels of Legends, but they reappear in their levels which feature in the game's Back to Origins mode.
Rayman Fiesta Run
The levels from this game are themed after the themes seen in Gourmand Land and Luscious Lakes from Rayman Origins, and Fiesta de los Muertos from Rayman Legends, subsequently, knives make appearances in this game.
