Dark Rayman may refer to five distinct characters who belong to the same species as Rayman:

The Dark Rayman, an enemy in the first Rayman game.
The Dark Rayman who features as a final opponent and thereafter a playable character the GameCube and Xbox versions of Rayman Arena.
Dark Rayman, a playable character in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends.
The Dark Rayman, an enemy in Rayman Legends.

A character called Dark Rayman was intended to appear in Phoenix Interactive's cancelled Rayman 4 project. It is unknown if it was intended to be one of the prior characters, or indeed, another distinct dark clone.

One piece of concept art produced for the game shows Rayman standing in an enormous cathedral-like building, which is decorated with statues and stained-glass windows in the likeness of Dark Rayman. These depictions show him holding swords, carrying spears, wearing suits of armour and breathing fire. Here he appears to be mainly black in colour, and his eyes are red rather than yellow. Engravings on the walls mention the name 'Dark Rayman'.

Another concept art found in 2015 shows Dark Rayman pursuing Rayman. He wears he same armour as the statues and the windows in his lair. He also has long hair instead of the same hairstyle as Rayman.

The two concept arts seem to imply that Dark Rayman would have been an enemy in the game – possibly a boss, or even the main villain.
