The Phantom (also know Tom Phan) is the main antagonist in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. He first appeared as a boss in its predecessor, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
The Phantom is a chubby Rabbid ghost that floats in the air, dressed in clothes reminiscent of the American Enlightenment era. He has an ethereal underside that becomes see-through at times, showing a phonograph housed within. His voice is provided by Augustin Chemelle, delivering lines in a thick, stereotypical French accent.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, the Phantom is a boss encountered in the Spooky Trails area. He is created by the Rabbid Spawny when he uses the SupaMerge visor to combine a Rabbid with a Boo balloon (Boos are common ghost enemies in the Mario series) and a phonograph. The Phantom communicates using sentences unlike other Rabbids, singing a song before battling Mario and his team. His battle strategy involves being initially immune to attacks until light fixtures beside it are destroyed, making it vulnerable. As the battle progresses, more fixtures appear, and the Phantom summons Rabbid minions. His main attack is a shriek hitting multiple targets, and it can also create a petrifying shield. When defeated, the Phantom reacts melodramatically.
Rayman in the Phantom Show

The Phantom is the main antagonist in the DLC featuring Rayman, Rayman in the Phantom Show. Shortly after Rayman has joined forces with Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach and Beep-0 in the Network Reception, he appears before the heroes with a bouquet of flowers, explaining that he is now a changed person, no longer corrupted by the Megabug, and that he needs their help to restore the Space Opera Network's ratings as his actors have left him. The Rabbids are instantly convinced by the Phantom's promises of fame and glory, and while Beep-0 is initially reluctant, he is eventually won over by flattery. The heroes are then tasked with performing in three different productions.
Once all three tasks have been completed, the Phantom congratulates them and asks the team to join him by the elevator in the Main TV Studio. Rayman shows wariness, but they nonetheless ascend to the Control Room, where the Phantom reveals his duplicity, explaining that he had been plotting his revenge the entire time and only manipulated the heroes into ridding the Space Opera Network of Darkmess. With the help of his newfound fame, as the studio is now number one in the galaxy, he intends to defeat the heroes as part of one last performance. Breaking the fourth wall, he notably taunts Rayman for having become irrelevant and fallen second to the Rabbids.
In battles reminiscent of when he was first encountered, the team eventually defeats the Phantom, destroying the spotlights that provide him with immunity and thwarting his revenge plans for good.

Personality
The Phantom has a very boastful personality, referring to himself as a "national treasure". He also frequently communicates in a melodious operatic manner.
Costumes
In Rayman in the Phantom Show, the Phantom has two new costumes used in his battles. The first one, dubbed Swingin' Phantom, is a glittery, disco-themed skin. With this costume, the Phantom's technique can block heroes from using their techniques, Sparks, and costumes until the effect wears off. It is used in the Spectral Swing battle. The second costume, dubbed Rockin' Phantom, is a metal-themed skin. This costume grants the Phantom the power to block heroes from using their attacks until worn off. His attack also deals Burn damage. It is used in the Burnin' Rock battle. His normal costume is used in the Operatic Showdown battle. Unlike in the previous game, this skin allows the Phantom to launch an attack that blocks heroes from doing anything except moving, blocking their attacks, techniques, Sparks, and costumes until worn off. He also gains a technique that allows him to use this attack when a hero enters his line of sight.
