The funny thing about RLDE being a thing in the near future is that I've never played Legends. So whether it's worth the price or not doesn't matter to me as it will be a new gaming experience anyway .
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) For once my laziness with purchasing video games has paid off indeed. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

and I have heard about exclusive charcters but I don't know how to unlock them... :| I also don't know where y' can get them...

I believe version exclusive characters had to be unlocked with codes, I remember I had to enter a code into the PS Store to unlock Assassin Ray on PS3.

I think Assasin Ray on PS3 was pre-order only, though I could be wrong. I know for a fact that Funky Ray can be unlocked on the PS4/Xbox One version through Uplay (with Uplay units). I think Ubi-Ray (titled something different though) is awarded to VIP players. The PS Vita version has two new character obtained through the Murfy Challenges based of other Ubisoft titles (Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell I think) and I think the Wii U version has a few exclusive Mario ones as well. That's all I know of really.

In order to get Assasin Ray on PS3, I think you needed to pre-order Legends through Gamestop, and type in the code that came with the game. That's how I did it and I was able to get that costume into the game. I don't use it but nice to have more of a collection of costumes. :P

I found an extremely weird bug outside of the game... instead of opening Legends, Origins opens, and then crashes! I can't find an explanation for this.

Do you have both games on Uplay? Maybe their launchers are mixed up somehow, and the launcher of Legends leads to Rayman Origins.exe.

I do own both games on Uplay, that may be the problem. Do you have any ideas on how it might be fixed? :?

I should add, when I try to validate game files it fails for both Origins and Legends. And Origins boots normally.

Sorry, I really don't know how these things work, so I can only guess. Maybe there is some setting in Uplay where you can choose which file to run when opening the launcher? Or you could also reinstall Legends (with keeping the save files), because all I can think of is that some files got removed/modified in the folder of the game, and reinstalling would put back everything as they were.

I just tried uninstalling Origins (shame) and now Legends flat out doesn't boot. uplay should die. I see the loading with the toads but the actual game never comes.

Perhaps nuking the whole thing, and reinstalling? It's a drastic option, but given how nothing seems to be working, it might be worth a shot.

Assassin Ray comes with the PS4 version. It's only a pre-order on PS3.

Going from the wiki, this is how it is with exclusive costumes:

Wii U

Glob Plumber
Ray Plumber
Avelina - Pre-order only

Playstation Vita

Ray of Persia
Glob Cell

Playstation 3

Assassin Ray - Pre-order only

Playstation 4

Assassin Ray
Funky Ray - Uplay only
Champion Ray - VIP players only

Xbox 360

Splinter Ray - Pre-order only

Xbox One

Far Glob
Funky Ray - Uplay only
Champion Ray - VIP players only

If I really have to, I could go down that route. Or I could use ... *shudder* Ubisoft support...

man this sucks
Another option could be running Uplay (or Legends) as an administrator (right click on the icon). It might sound strange, but it's ridiculous how many things it can solve. If that doesn't work neither, I'd still reinstall the game(s) first, because contacting the Ubisoft support is really a headache. I contacted them once, and there are a lot of details you have to give them, from your computer's data to screenshots, and it's also usually a lot of time. You'll just feel like it doesn't worth that all.
