Re: Rayman Origins
I deer to disagree. Style is nice, but I would prefer a lot of others.
Re: Rayman Origins
Anyone seen the new Comic-Con Trailer yet? No-one seems to be talking about it:

No, the spikes there are actually Darktoons-Haruka wrote:The carnivourous plant level also had spiky balls.iambored2006 wrote:Third edit: I've just thought of something- the blue spiky balls with eyes were mostly in Band Land, right? Well, till now, we've only seen them in RO in the desert level! On another note, is there a page in the wiki about those red spiky balls on rockers from the dream forest?

Re: Rayman Origins
The eyes look like them, but I still didn't see any visual confirmation that indicates that those are Darktoons burried into the ground (although it isn't impossible).
Re: Rayman Origins
The desert Band Land doesn't look as appealing to me as the cold, grassy and later snowy Band Land. I hope they still put that in...
) if that happens. Amazon is probably correct.
That wouldn't be a very good timing - Skyrim is coming out on that date. Lots of people are going to buy that on release day (I am) and forget about Rayman Origins (no way I'll forget about that thoughiambored2006 wrote:Besides, November 11th is a way better release date- it happens only once in a millennium!
Re: Rayman Origins
Maybe there will be a transition from desert music world to the Glaciar Cocktail level?Drolpiraat wrote:The desert Band Land doesn't look as appealing to me as the cold, grassy and later snowy Band Land. I hope they still put that in...
Unfortuneatly I believe that Amazon UK's date might be correct. I just don't understand why Americans often get the games first.iambored2006 wrote:Besides, November 11th is a way better release date- it happens only once in a millennium!

Re: Rayman Origins
Red spiky balls are only present in Rayman Junior, and the only ones that appear in the Dream Forest are green spiky balls from Rayman Designer. Now I come to think about it, you're probably referring to spiky fruits, for which a page on the wiki exists indeed.iambored2006 wrote:I've just thought of something- the blue spiky balls with eyes were mostly in Band Land, right? Oh, come on, that's ridiculous! They don't look at all like the spiky balls from the desert level!Haruka wrote:The eyes look like them, but I still didn't see any visual confirmation that indicates that those are Darktoons burried into the ground (although it isn't impossible).
I think you mean the level from the original artwork (which by the way has a great sky). Glacier Cocktail is probably in the food world, it couldn't possibly be in the music world.Haruka wrote:Maybe there will be a transition from desert music world to the Glaciar Cocktail level?Drolpiraat wrote:The desert Band Land doesn't look as appealing to me as the cold, grassy and later snowy Band Land. Yeah, thanks, I meant the spiky fruits! I love how they designed them for RO!Hunchman801 wrote:Red spiky balls are only present in Rayman Junior, and the only ones that appear in the Dream Forest are green spiky balls from Rayman Designer. BTW, Haruka, I remember you saying this-
It was about a gameplay video. I really can't hear it, can you please tell me when it is heard?Haruka wrote:Cute "Help meeee!" from the Electoons by the way.

We’ve known this since 1999. It’s got nothing to do with Origins, which is likely to ignore it in favour of its own backstory.RayTunes wrote:I wonder how they got the idea to add a similarity to Band Land in a desert area. I mean, Band Land seems more like a grassland landscape.
Also, this game seems more based on fans like... us! In fact, Rayman 3D tells us more. This is the story of Rayman according to the booklet from Rayman 3D: Rayman is found sleeping on a beach, and when he wakes up he doesn't know what he is or where he is. Well, this could true, but listen to this: Rayman became friends with Globox, The Teensies, Murphy, Clark and Ly BEFORE he defeated ''The Evil Mr.Dark''.
So, does this mean a reference to Origins?
Do you want all the returning levels in this game to be exact recreations of their former appearances? This is a new and interesting region in Band Land. None of the R1 worlds have had their size or borders determined; the developers can do whatever they want. There is no contradiction here.RayTunes wrote:I wonder how they got the idea to add a similarity to Band Land in a desert area. I mean, Band Land seems more like a grassland landscape.
The fraction of the Blu-ray ‘probably’ used by a game is a sad and ridiculous way of deciding which games you will buy.Raymale wrote:rlybeebo44 wrote:Yeah WTF Raymale? It wa announced a Disc title AGES ago.
I'm not going to pay 50$ for a game that probably only uses 1/20'th of a blu-ray. X.X

Those do not look like spiky fruits but more like Hoodlum-devised obstacles in my opinion.ikke471 wrote:i think they recicled the spiky fruits from the gba-version of r3
Also, I don't think anyone has brought this up yet, but the new screenshot confirms that the flying creatures in the desert area are insects.

Re: Rayman Origins
I expected them to be bugs due to the buzzings.
I think it is you that you are making some confusion. In Rayman Origins we know so far there will be two kinds of Spiky Balls: the ones who look like balloon fishes, and others burried into the ground.iambored2006 wrote:Oh, come on, that's ridiculous! You think that buzzing is them? I heard it in the jungle level too. It was emitted by livingstones protecting a cage.Haruka wrote:I expected them to be bugs due to the buzzings.

About the spiky balls, what I'm trying to say is that the black ones from the daisy level are most likely Darktoons and not spiky balls. We have no information about that, anyway.
Edit: I noticed two things while watching the E3 presentation: 1. The Teensies creating the portal at the beginning are dressed in green clothes. 2. The pink fish in the underwater cave are just like the blue spiky balls from the desert level only they're pink.
Re: Rayman Origins
Well, I wouldn't mind seeing a mixture of the original and the new landscpaes.spiraldoor wrote:Do you want all the returning levels in this game to be exact recreations of their former appearances?
