::::::To me, stone men have the ability to regenerate after being defeated, while nettles are never actually defeated, that's why I would suggest ∞. It's just my point of view though, this is why I suggest a little poll between the four of us to decide on the matter. — 20:30, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

:::::::I don't really like the idea of distinguishing between the nettles' and the stone men's resistance systems in this way; I think they both fall under the 'temporarily defeatable but ultimately invincible' category. Both enemies can sustain an infinite number of hits, but both can be beaten for short periods of time. Therefore the nettles shouldn't be given a simple ∞ and the stone men shouldn't be given a simple 5; instead we should try to find a way to informatively convey their complex resistances, like the method I proposed earlier. It may be that the nettles are not really 'stunned', and that they are actually recoiling or hiding or healing themselves or something like that, but I that's a bit too theoretical a distinction to make for what should be a cut-and-dried numerical system. (I hope I am making my case adequately.) —Spiraldoor 20:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

::I also think that both things should be described, and not focusing in just infinite or a limited number of HP. --Haruka 20:52, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

:All right, I thought about it this morning and here is my decision:
:*The stone man's resistance is stored as 5 in the game data and will be kept as such.
:*While we may include additional information, there has to be only one resistance value in the end.
:Therefore, we can either:
:#Set the nettle's resistance to ‘’ and mention in the article that it withdraws temporarily after one hit.
:#Set the nettle's resistance to ‘ (reappears after a couple seconds)’ and add a similar mention to that of the stone man without modifying the actual value.
:I vote for the first solution, please cast your vote guys! — 11:14, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
::I also vote for the first option. --Haruka 13:39, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
:::Ditto. --iHeckler9 15:27, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
::::‘’ is not an ideal description of the nettle's resistance but it's better than ‘’. I agree with Haruka and iHeckler. —Spiraldoor 16:35, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
:::::I edited both articles to make things more clear; do not hesitate if you have any remarks. — 16:55, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
::::::How will the upcoming Resistance template handle enemies such as Mr Dark and the Barrel Pirates, who have different resistances in different games? —Spiraldoor 16:54, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
:::::::We will have to use several of them, thus categorising them under several resistance values; while Mr Dark can be considered both a 9 HP and a 24 HP enemy, a nettle couldn't be considered both a 1 HP and invincible enemy. — 17:53, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

I have a question about the name of this enemy. Nettle sounds very strange... This plant doesn't look like a nettle... In French, this enemy is called (giant) bramble in Rayman 2... What do you think about this ? -- Boomboleros7 12:32, 15 Januray 2012 (UTC)
:Howdy, we have been discussing this issue not a long time ago. In Rayman Origins' texture names, these are called Darkroots - I think this name would be more suitable for these kind of spiked tentacle-alike creatures. --Haruka 11:46, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
:'Nettle' comes from the files on the Rayman 3 disc; as far as I know, they aren't directly named in any game or any other official source. It's quite possible that it's a bad translation that hasn't been proof-read. —Spiraldoor 14:34, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
:You're right... I precise one thing :  Giant bramble come from an official source : A French book named Rayman 2 The Great Escape : Official Strategy Guide. I don't know if an English version exist... -- Boomboleros7 19:36, 15 Januray 2012 (UTC)
