A crab is a small crustacean creature that is only found on the beaches and other aquatic areas in Rayman 2: The Great Escape. They are yellow-orange in colour, and they hurt Rayman if he touches them, but even at the maximum power of his energy spheres, he cannot destroy them. Hitting them will only cause them to fly up briefly before landing, like a rat in Rayman 3.

In Rayman 2, crabs can be found in the Sanctuary of Water and Ice and Whale Bay. In Rayman Revolution, they can additionally be found at the Pier in the Minisaurus Plains, the first part of the Front.

In Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, a more powerful variety of crab enemies known as Ninja Crabs appears.
