Rayman holding a keg.

A keg is an object that looks like a barrel found in any pirate stronghold in Rayman 2: The Great Escape and most of the handheld games that followed. It is used to break open doors that are sealed with metal sparadraps, break open some cages that are right above Rayman but out of his reach, or as a means of airborne transport by setting it alight. Sometimes these roll down hills in places such as the Bayou, making them an obstacle for Rayman, but he can sometimes get a higher jump by jumping on them.

They are also seen as obstacles in Rayman M and Rayman Rush.
