:::::::The names of the textures are the most 'official' we have though. Where does the name originate? — 18:12, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

I personally don't find it anything related with a vicking... Helmet bird or something close to this would be more suitable. --Haruka 20:08, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't know where the 'viking' part came from - I always thought they were soldiers when I played :P --Electoon 22:17, 10 January 2012 (GMT)
I have to agree here (and I created the article), they don't look like vikings. However, If you download the picture from the official launch site, it says "VikingBird-info-1.png". Thoughts please--Sergiomonty 22:28, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Well if the name is official, then it probably should stay! (although I don't trust that launch site....;D) --Electoon 22:34, 10 January 2012 (GMT)
Uhm... Now that I check, the website's image names are kind of messy, they refers to the lividstones as "explorers" and soldiers as "ants". The website doesn't seem to be a legit place to adquire official information--Sergiomonty 22:46, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't see what's wrong with either of those names. Livingstones have referred to as 'Explorers' or 'Explorators' as far back as the original game (or at least its spin-offs), and the Soldier is clearly an insect of some sort. (Not to mention that 'soldier' is an actual variety of ant in real life.) —Spiraldoor 15:17, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
What are they called in the game textures? — 12:03, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
They are codenamed "Darkbirds", but that sounds even more unrelated, they aren't dark.--Sergiomonty 16:21, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
The names of the textures are the most 'official' we have though. Whether they make sense or not, I think we should stick to them in the absence of an official name. — 11:37, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
